Clarion Inn Florence, Florence

The price was really good for a Clarion, however, it is not a full service hotel like other Clarion's are, which I don't understand. The staff was very helpful in giving us information about the area. The room was quiet, it was a good size. I look for things such as: water pressure, breakfast quality, cleanliness of room and comfort of bed, as well as customer service. The bedding was simply amazing. I could see paying top dollar for a room such as this since my sleep was actually amazing. It made me realize at home I've been sleeping on something horrible and I immediately went out and bought a new mattress like the one in the hotel. I forgot what it was like to wake up after a night sleep on a good mattress. Breakfast was not my cup of tea, but what I did like was the simple items like bagels and fruit. They do have hot breakfast too, but I am vegan so that did not appeal to me. Cable was standard, though we did not have much time to watch television. I wish they had an indoor pool. The hotel was quiet, even though it is along the highway. It is right across the parking lot from a grocery store so that was great, I just walked over and purchased items we needed instead of spending money on going out to eat or ordering in. We like to travel with our pet, this hotel apparently allows them, so perhaps if we come back through this area we can bring our dog with us. Staff was very helpful and sincere. They did not seem to be disinterested or 'fake' like some hotel staff can be. Their friendliness is genuine, not sure if it is because that is how folks are around that area or if they just enjoyed their job. I'm overall very pleased with the hotel and the staff and would stay again because of it and the rate is really affordable, you get a lot but don't pay a lot.

First the person checking me in answered the phone and instead of asking them to hold, she made me wait until the conversation was over. As soon as I walked into my room I smelled mold coming from the bathroom. The room was cold. The next day I was locked out of my room because my card was set to be good for one night even thought I had a four night reservation. They were out of several of their breakfast items. The breakfast items they did have were nothing special. I used the coffee maker to boil water to make tea and the water came out light brown meaning they obviously don't clean the appliance well. The temperature knob on the frigerator was non-existant so I couldn't turn it on to keep food in it. This place was a dump.

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast bar is limited but okay, has everything u would want in the morning. Best thing was the free wi-fi. Gym is not something u'll want to use :s Not very clean and you need to follow them to change the sheets. The room was smelly, probably from pets

My friend and I stayed there on 7.1.o8 I would recommend this place and will be back. The staff expecially Joseph, Ashley and housekeeping was very nice and kind. I noticed today at the breakfast bar the sweet lady was very throughley cleaning everything from top to bottom. The pool was so clean also.

the worst hotel i've ever been in! it was obvious that the problem was the mngmt esp the front desk management! recommendation:turn it into a bowling alley!!

Did not give me a non-smoking room, it was too cold, the towels were thin and worn out, there were rips in my sheets, no toiletries in the bathroom, dirty and disgusting. never again

THE IVY IS A NICE HOTEL WITH A KIND STAFF & NICE ROOMS BUT THE FRONT DESK AGENT, RITA, WASNT KIND TO HER COWORKERS AS THIS SHOULD BE NOT ONLY FOR THE GUESTS;THIS PUT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH.

The hotel ivy was overall a bad experience. The front desk agents were polite, but everything else was horrible! They really need to get some new pictures and decorations in the rooms, they look stuck in the 70's!!

We were there for 3 nights and never had maid service. They apologized, but did not take care of it or even offer us a reduced rate. We requested clean towels, were told they would be brought to us, but never received them. I called 3 times for a wake-up call, no answer. I confirmed my reservation on Monday, by Friday they did not have it. Two hours before the end of the breakfast -- no regular coffee, or waffles. I had 1 mini powdered doughnut (they only put out 3 for a large crowd). We were a party of 9 rooms -- we'll never go back.
