Super 8 Radcliff Fort Knox Area, Radcliff

Just went to a Fort Knox graduation there is a entrance down the street -the hotel was staff was friendly- rooms are nice nothing fancy, clean, and decent, had tv, small fridge, microwave, coffee makes, blow dryer- and you get breakfast, cereal, coffee, tea - we had 2 rooms and it was very close to base

I book my room a month in advanced with this hotel and 2 days before my schedule time there they call me and tell me they had to cancel my reservation and book me in a hotel the next town down which is another 15 miles away from my destination. The cancel due to a contract they have with the military. It should not matter what contract you have with whom. I book the room and it should be mine. I have no problem giving up my room for a soldier but this is wrong.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. It was also nice and quite, you did not hear doors opening and closing or people talking in other rooms.

The place was super clean, neat, comfortable and best of all great price and great people(customer service). I stayed at the one on exit 7 on route 68 West Virginia.

I stayed at this motel on August 23, 2004 for my son's basic training graduation at Fort Knox. The staff was very friendly. They had maps to the base so they showed me where I had to go for my son's graduation. They also had a restaurant guide which helped me find the restaurant that I liked. I liked that my room had a large TV and a hair dryer. I also liked the breakfast, it didn't have just donuts and coffee. It had juice, bagels, and cereal. I would definitely recommend staying at this motel.

The Super 8 Motel in Radcliff is probably by far the worst motel/hotel I have ever stayed at. I had to attend school at Fort Knox and because of lodging problems, had to settle on something off post. I called several places in the area, and this motel was the only one available, unless I wanted to stay in the next town 15 miles away. I booked in advance and went to the website. The website originally said it had a pool and other features. It looked pretty nice in the photos. When I got to the motel on the 21st of July, I found out it didn't have a pool and told the clerk at the desk. (the web-page has since been changed)The motel was nasty! The carpet had stains all in it, my room had ants all over the place. Unfortunately, I couldn't leave and had to stay there until August 28th. (another motel just down the street had an opening and charged me the exact same price- plus it is much better) So for the month and some days I stayed there, I found it miserable. The staff was courteous, except the manager/owner. I had asked one of the desk clerks a simple question regarding Fort Knox, and afterwards the owner approached me and told me to not "bother" any of the staff or house keeping persons. I found him very unprofessional, unfriendly, and rude. The rest of the staff was nice, but overall if you don't HAVE to stay there I would say find somewhere else. If I could rate the place lower than a "1", I would.
