Hesperia Ramblas Hotel, Barcelona

The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

We stayed here for a week in May on the 2nd floor and it felt like home to us. Everything was clean, the apartment was spacious and the view is perfect. We were able to leave the balcony door open because it is very secure and we heard the ocean all day and night. This is not a hotel so there is no room service, but they provide everything you need to keep the place in shape. This is an apartment with closet space, bedroom(s), bathroom and huge living and dining room area. The kitchen was set with all utensils, including plates, pots, pans, silverware and anything else you need for preparing your usual meals. We also had a TV, DVD player, stereo and sleep sofa with lots of cushions and blankets to feel comfortable when enjoying a late afternoon break from the beach - and you can always watch the crowds on the beach - although the patio is small, just big enough to stand on. By the way, the beach has many life guards on duty during the day. The location is perhaps the best - not only because the beach is right in front of you, but also the whole Pacific Beach life that is right there when you leave the complex. There are some really great shops, novelties, restaurants and cool bars everywhere and especially young people (or the young at heart) will find this to be a very entertaining, fun and lively area. I can not wait to go back to what feels like a second home to me now ;)

don't know about all the other rental units but we stayed in 204 and that was just perfect! Beautiful view, spacious apartments and whole building is secured and the public can not just walk in there at night. Felt like home there and can't wait to get back. Its right in the middle of all the fun streets and places too. You can walk to Garnet street and enjoy the many unique shops, bars and restaurants. I loved it there!

We especially like the fact that it is right on the beach (not across the street). There are two bathrooms in the two bedroom apartment. My disabled father can stay with us, since there is an elevator. The kids can sleep on the living room couch. Some units have multiple beds in the bedrooms. There is a roof-top patio, popular with the kids, and a pool and spa, open late enough to keep us happy.
