Will definitely stay again!
By the girl, 10/11/09
Great place to stay for the price. Free wireless internet, free breakfast consisting of some hot items. Super location if you frequent the dog races. Only drawback was the elevator was out of order during our stay, but no big deal.

key and odor problems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/07
We stayed 2 nights. The first night we were assigned to a room which was already occupied. We were embarrassed when a man came to the door. We had to go back to the office to get another room and key. The second night, our key would not work-and we had to go back to the office again to get the key re-programed. The air conditioner had a urine smell. The interstate noise was annoying. This hotel is very run-down and poorly maintained. We have been Hampton Inn customers for 30 years, but this did not meet the Hampton Inn standards. At check out we told the clerk about the problems we had, and were refunded for one night's stay, but this experience has made us concerned about future stays with Hampton Inn.

Its 1:30 Am and Noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/29/06
The noise from the highway is obnoxious. Typically you can at least put the fan on automatic to drown out the noise but not here. The fan on the HVAC will only run when the AC kicks on. (I have it on 60 so it will run often). I called the front desk and they said the fan should have the ability to run without the AC on but they just renovated the rooms and the new AC's must not have that feature. Staff was great otherwise. Unless you are a very sound sleeper, avoid this place or bring some ear plugs.

Empty coffee caraffes
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/06
The coffee AND hot water caraffes were empty in the early evening. Room was clean but needed updating and repairs. Our sink faucet handle was very loose and difficult to change from hot to cold water. The bathroom was very small and definitely not up to what I believe is Hampton Inn standards. Walls and tiles had obvious repairs or had cracks. Lobby had good computer work desk area and printer as well as large screen TV. Easy highway access, but the surrounding area totally lacks class. The redeeming value: good price, especially compared with those closer in to Memphis, TN.

Hard to believe
Stayed in this motel on the way to another destination. The service became the issue for us. We were having car trouble. We needed some help. There were only West Memphis phone books in the room. I went to the desk to ask for the use of a Memphis phone book and was told we don't have one. I explained my problem and the young woman was really unconcerned (Gee, that's too bad). I went back to the room and looked through the newspaper and found a phone number for a car agency, but since it was Saturday could not get any service done. So I needed to rent a car-there were none listed in the phone book I had. Went back to the front desk told the same person what I needed-she did not seem interested in helping. I asked for the manager. Told the manager my problem and asked for a Memphis phone book and was told they didn't have one. She finally did call Enterprise car rentals for me, but they don't rent one way (which I needed). Ended up having to call information from my motel room. Hard to believe they would not have a Memphis phone book. That said-the motel itself was ok. The breakfast was outstanding. I am not sure if I would stay there again because there was so much frustration in dealing with our car-but the motel was ok otherwise.

Hampton Inn - West Memphis
By LAZLOW57, 7/4/04
We stayed at this hotel for a week with 10 13-year-old boys playing in a basketball tournament. The staff was wonderful. They worked hard to accommodate our room needs. They allowed us to use the lobby each evening to watch the tape of that day's game. Breakfast was better than most - had hot items each day (eggs and sausage, waffles, french toast). The ladies providing the breakfast made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were clean and the cleaning staff did a nice job recleaning and freshening the rooms each day. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Management is doing something right at this hotel. Overall, it was a great deal for the money.
