Ebb Tide Motel, Seaside

We were terrified after reading some reviews of the Ebb Tide after booking for our weekend in Seaside. I even called around to other hotels to see if I could get in at the last minute for a good rate. I can't believe I even worried about it, this place was terrific, and budget-friendly, considering the place RIGHT NEXT DOOR wanted over $400 a night for a room. Seriously. We stayed here for 2 nights well under that amount. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, but no-frills. Yes, the place is older, but so is everything in Seaside. Yes, the staff seems to smoke a lot, but not right in front of your door. (They should be corraled to the back somewhere). The pool was great, the staff was friendly, even after a harried day where some of the cleaning staff was absent, everything was to our satisfaction, and we will be returning for our next Seaside outing.

I had stayed at this hotel before and I loved it then, and after having a horrible experience at a different place this last weekend, we checked into the ebbtide and loved it again!! affordable prices and clean nice rooms. and we were treated like we were the only people there, I loved it. I think that the old reviews must have had different workers, because they were nothing like that. This hotel is not like a super fancy hotel, but it is nice and clean!!!!

I disliked everything about this hotel. My room smelled like cigarettes and the bed had crumbs in the bed. I asked very politely to get new sheets and/or get switched to a new room and told me I would have to get a room change fee... I have never even heard of something so horrible. They treated me like I was a criminal. Please do yourself a favor and attend a different hotel because Seaside, Oregon is an amazing place.

Service was terrible -- the staff is unprofessional and rude. They tried charging us an extra $400 for a 'broken window frame' that we never even opened. BEWARE!

I was very excited to go to this hotel for my beach side weekend. however, when I arrived the service was horrible. The lady checking me in was very rude and brief with my family and myself. I found that the service all weekend was just horrible. i was hassled for not paying the room, even though I had already. Please save yourself the unfortunate service, as it will ruin your trip, and go somewhere else.

We were treated like 2nd class citizens from day one upon our arrival at Ebb Tide. After putting up with severely subpar room cleanliness and outright disrespectful staff, we were charged for supposedly breaking something that we never broke. It honestly was a traveler's nightmare. It's mind boggling that a motel could stay in business after being so unprofessional.

Our room was disgusting! The housekeepers need some training. We found 10-12 large long black hairs in our shower. There was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and walls around the shower. We found black hairs in our sheets and the comforters were stained with some kind of gunk. The fridge did not stay cold. The heating took way to long to heat our room. The t.v.remote was broken as well as the dvd remote. It smelled in our room. Staff was nice, but we will not stay at the Ebb Tide again.

When my son and I walked into the room, I smelled mold and smoke. The room was a non smoking room. The two bedroom is so small and disgusting. I encourage anyone looking into this hotel is to make sure that you like at the room before committing. I could not stay at this hotel and I am out of of money due to the 72 hour cancellation. I know that if I stayed in this hotel, my grandma and my son and also myself would have been sick. Please look somewhere else because this hotel is horrible. A health inspector needs to come in and look at each of the rooms.

Everyone in party got very sick after using hot tubs and staying in moldy rooms. Definite health risk! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Should be shut down and condemned

We will never stay again..They now have raise there prices $50.00 a night for the fourth of july. Place is full of mold and very dirty.. We will find somewhere else to stay next time..
