Hacienda El Santuario Hotel Spa & Golf, San Miguel de Allende

From the moment you arrive to the hotel you feel like you have been totally disconnected from the real world. It is located around 15min. drive away from the center of San Miguel de Allende and at the time when I was there the restaurant was under renovation so for my meals I had to drive to the center, that was the only minor inconvenience, but the friendly staff were more than helpful so I didn't feel at all inconvenienced. It was my husband's birthday and we received a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the room to celebrate. There is a spa and a pool with thermal water, it comes out from underground already steaming hot, it was amazing! And the massaged we got were incredible! The beds in the room have that little canopy on top which gave the room a very romantic atmosphere. I have been told that the restaurant was about to open with a new menu so I am looking forward to go back on my next vacation! The place was totally worth it, I've never felt so relaxed and serene like after our stay there.
