Sleep in the car if you have to...
Our stay there was NOT a good one....first, our reservations were screwed up by a desk clerk who apparently didn't know what she was doing. The general manager simply did not care what was going on. His only explanation of the desk clerks screw up was, "She must've misunderstood you." I had two people with me that were present when I spoke to the desk clerk on the phone to make the reservations, and neither one of them seemed to have any problem understanding me. There were spiders present in our room and when we went to the front desk after killing TWO large ones that came out from behind our bed, The manager (please note this was the general manager, not just a desk clerk) promptly gave us a one gallon sprayer of insecticide and sent us back to spray the room ourselves! The pool was very small and did not appear to have enough chlorine in it. We never once got an apology for the reservation screw up, nor was there any excuse given for the spiders except that "Yeah, we can't keep them out of here." Overall, the rooms were dated and rundown, as were the "laundry", which is one washer and one dryer outside in a breezeway next to the vending machines that are out of order. Their "complimentary Wi-Fi" in the lobby, if you could call that little area a lobby, is a small keyboard on a shelf three feet off the ground no desk, no chair, no nothing. Overall, it was a lousy experience. I have stayed at much nicer motels for the same money. I had never stayed at a Super 8 before, and I can assure you, after this weekend, I never will again.
