BEST WESTERN Hotel Franklin Feel The Sound, Rome

It is botique style and very well run. Very comforting and well appointed. Made to feel at home and the staff will help with any requests. In a neighborhood with great tratorias and restaurants. Biggest positive is it is out of the madness of central Rome.

spent 3 days in Rome at the hotel. Booked 2 rooms - 3 people per room and 1 room for 2. Great hotel just make sure that you state that you do not want a small room. My brother and his wife were first given a small room and the bed was pushed up to the wall. After he complained he was given a larger room. Rooms were very clean,cd players in each room,breakfast was great,service was good and the room rates were great. A slow walk to the Vatican was about 10 to 15 minutes, strolling down a beautiful street. You would need a cab to other sites - bus stops near Hotel. When we return to Rome we will stay at the hotel. My Son in law and brother travel all over the world and were very impressed.

Very cozy hotel. The rooms were clean and the inclusive continental breakfast had lots of variety and was good. Considering the price of hotel rooms elsewhere, this was a good bargain at 125 euros.

We booked a 3br at the Franklin, but it was a double with an extra bed squashed (and i do mean squashed) in. We didnt even have space to put our suitcases on the floor. The room was exceptionally clean and modern, and the hotel is in a lovely suburban area. Excellent breakfasts, though we often had to wait up to 15 minutes for a table. I was disappointed with the service at this hotel. We asked about a laundromat and the staff told us they could have our washing done for us. We left nearly all of our clothes with them, with their reassurance that we'd have everything back the following day. Five days (and a very hefty fee) later, our clothes had still not been returned and we were due to check out. We asked the staff every day if our clothes were ready and they seemed unsure where they were. They finally FOUND our clothes, 5 minutes before we were due to taxi to the trainstation, and half of them were missing including some very expensive items. We were promised compensation, and even after some effort in meeting this end, the hotel has cut off contact with us. We had to spend quite a bit of time and money buying clothes to wear for the rest of our trip. They then forgot to order our taxi and we missed our train because of that. In all, nice hotel but I'll be staying elsewhere next time.

Excellent location near Vatican and Metro stops. Quiet neighborhood. Some rooms will accommodate 3 people; all equipped with Bose sound systems! Standard European breakfast fare, but plenty of cappuchino and espresso!

As a person who stays over 130 nights a year in hotels, I can honestly say The Franklin was a wonderful surprise. The staff was wonderful, the restaurants in the neighborhood were fabulous and the garden courtyard was awesome. If you want to stay at a very nice property, that is small, quaint, has a neighborhood feel and has alot of charm...look no further.

Looking for a quiet hotel and we found one. Rooms are very nice, moderate sized, breakfast quite substantial. We arrived on a Wed but the elevator stopped working on Sat. Upon arriving back each night to the hotel and checking to see if it were working we were told - tomorrow. Until the following Wed, we walked four flights of stairs. Didn't offer to change our room and we believed it would be tomorrow. Can't say I'd use this hotel again.
