Overall grade would be C-
The Good... good location off I-276. 5 miles from King of Prussia Mall and about 6 from Valley Forge, although it'll cost $1 on the turnpike. The exterior of the property is well kept, well-lit, and visible from the interstate. Front desk area looked clean, as did the other common areas. There are 2 chain-type restaurants within 100 yards. The Bad... upon arrival and inspection of first room, we found the bathroom area to be very unclean, including the hotel-supplied hair dryer. Spoke to the front desk clerk who apologized repeatedly and switched our room with no problem. However, the majority of the housekeeping staff were very impersonable. The room was average. Lots of scuffs and marks on the furniture and walls. Bathroom area was average, with the shower head being at an approximate height of 5'10". The towels were like burlap, and the toilet paper like ultra-thin sandpaper. Carpet was very worn. Pillows were extremely soft. Pullout mattress had a nasty stain on it and wasn't one that can be flipped over. Also, one of the sheets had a bad smudge on it. This hotel supplies glass glasses (instead of the plastic) so you hope they've been cleaned properly if you chose to use them. The room is also setup very poorly and is narrow. In the queen bed rooms there are 2 TV's within 4 feet of each other. In the king room, when you open up the sofa bed, you have to move the TV stand. Finally, the pool was about 95 degrees, the hot tub was about 75, and the chlorine was HIGH. There were no complementary towels to be found. No wireless internet connection either. Not impressed whatsoever with this chain of Marriott, and probably will not use again unless necessary.

Would stay here again!
By Scarface, 11/5/07
A very nice hotel that was very, very clean throughout. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious enough for 2. The Continental breakfast was very good also with hot and cold selections. Dinner and drinks are available right out front at J.B. Dawson’s bar and restaurant. Wi-Fi, indoor pool and quick highway access make this a winner. All in all a great hotel and location and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent
By Ziphead, 10/20/05
Everything about this place is great. We were staying in the area for a conference and were at the Hilton in King of Prussia- we wer so dipleased we left there after the first night and this was the only hotel available in the area at the time. It was such a pleasure to stay here-from staff at front desk to cleaning staff, and it was $20 less a night than the Hilton. Even the internet was faster!

A Must Stay in Philly!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/05
This hotel is great! My wife & I stayed here for our first trip to Philly. We decided to drive straight through and arrived at 2am the day we were supposed to arrive. The hotel is very easy to find as it is within sight of the highway interchange. They let us check into our room 12 hours early and only charged us for 1 night although we slept there 2 nights! The service was very good and the complimentary breakfast deserves Tons of compliments... eggs, sausage, hot cereal, plus the usual fare of bagels, donuts, fruit, etc. I didn't make it to the pool, but from what I saw it looked quite neat and clean. Speaking of clean, the rooms were cleaner than 5 star downtown Marriott that we stayed in 2 nights later for twice the price. The bonus with Springhill Suites is the Suites. All rooms are suites with a wet bar & sitting area (w/full sofa) separate from the sleeping area. Had we known what we were getting I would never have booked the downtown hotel for the third night of our trip since Plymouth Meeting is about 30 minutes from downtown Philly and parking isn't $28 a day! Definitely give this one a shot if you're going to Philly!
