Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax, Fairfax

All in all we were really happy with this location. In addition to room service, there were some good local resturants which delivered to the rooms there, including a fantastic Thai place. The couple of potentially negative things that I would point out to consider is this... The hotel lists a pool and hot tub among it's amenities and that was something I was looking for since I was travelling with my husband on business and thought that would be a nice way to spend some of my alone time that I was not sight-seeing, however, it is only open from 5:00-10:00PM each day. So don't expect to be able to take the kids to the pool for a little down time in the middle of a busy vacation. They do have a lifeguard on duty when it is open though and I think that's an unusual plus if you are going to be taking kids. The other thing to be aware of is that while they offer shuttle service to the metro it is only available to go at 9:30 & 10:30 AM with pick up at 4:30 or 7:00 PM...and there is no shuttle service to the airport. Side note...anytime you are in DC by all means AVOID Budget rental cars at Dulles Airport...they have unethical and dishonest employees which will cause you a lot of grief!
