Chateau Corneille, Gaillon

In an attempt to avoid the motorways around Paris we found this pretty house / chateau to stop over. It is two or three hours from Calais which takes our journey time for our home to Gaillon about 8 hours. The hotel is set in its own grounds. The surroundings are quiet with plenty of room for children to run around. The family room we occupied was spacious and clean. Ideal for an over night stay at a cost of 100 euros. There is a very good restuarant (not owned by the hotel) within the grounds that did good food and willing to cater for children. The hotel is not ideally placed for most residents of the UK heading deep into France but it is worth consideration for an overnight stay if like us you try to skirt around Paris.
