Bedbugs, lies and bologna
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/09
Bedbug bites during our first night. Changed rooms and desk personnel promised an adjustment to the bill. No adjustment was made. At checkout staff offered "two free nights" with priority club points -- but the points (2000) are 8000 short of one night, much less two. Oh, and the GM said that they didn't see any bedbugs when they looked over the room. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LIARS!

I would not stay again, ever.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/18/09
We were taken back by the lack of help at the front desk. The manager of the hotel was rude and would not help us. We booked three rooms and due to a computer error we only had two room. We had six people and only one room. In 30 years of travel this was the worst I have been treated by a hotel. The manager of this hotel was not professional and again offered no help.

A pleasant surprise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/8/08
On a recent trip thru the Midwest and Southwest, we stayed at this hotel for one evening. The facilities were fine as expected and the price as a priority club member we found to be very reasonable. Our big surprise was after we arrived home about two weeks later, a book that I left in the hotel was received in the mail. A very pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Horrible Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/4/07
I would not recommend this hotel at all! The treatment that we got while there was very unprofessional. The manager on duty during our stay was rude, smart mouthed and of no help whatsoever. We arrived on Friday night and were told that our room had been upgraded to a suite. That is fine and good, but we had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in our party and the suite had a king size bed and what they called a sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was a loveseat with a twin size matress. Not good for 2 teenagers to sleep on. I called the front desk that night and was told that they didn't have any cots available and they would not have any rooms with 2 beds until Saturday morning. One of the girls slept in the bed with us and the other had to sleep on the floor. On Saturday morning we decided to notify them that we would just keep the room we were in if they could try to get us a cot for that night. We were gone all day to Magic Springs theme park and after getting rained out, we returned to the room around 2:00. We were all soaked from the rain storm and were ready to take showers. We had planned to go back to Magic Springs that evening for a concert so time was very important to us! The housekeeping crew was on our floor cleaning rooms so I got our dirty towels and took them to her and asked for 4 towels and wash cloths. She told me that she couldn't give me any right then even though her cart had clean ones on it. I went to the front desk and asked the manager if there were any towels in the hotel. She got very ugly and defensive and said that she would just check us out of the hotel and she then got on the phone and called Baymont Inn and Suites and booked a room there and gave us our money back for the nights stay and that was it. All because I asked her for towels and wash cloths to be replenished in my room! What bothers me about the whole thing is the fact that #1 it was very inconvenient for us to pack up in the middle of the day and move hotels and #2 was the way in which it was handled. I have never been treated this badly anywhere I have stayed! She did not offer the first apology for us having to move or anything. She is very very very rude! I will say that the Baymont Inn and Suites on Lake Hamilton is a very nice hotel. The staff was very nice and accomodating! I would not ever recommend the Holiday Inn Express hotel. The location is not great and on top of that the management is horrible. Go to the Baymont!

Worst $99 Spent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/07
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Central St. in Hot Springs at the suggestion of a wedding party. It was a bad experience from reservation to check out. Very unprofessional reservation person & check in person. We had to check 3 rooms and settled for the least dirty. The lobby was dirty, the elevator was bad, and the hall carpets were worn out. The next morning housekeeping knocked on our door 3 times before checkout. There was no "do not disturb" sign. There was some confusion during a routine checkout process and the heavily staffed desk must have known not to ask us how our stay went. It was the worst $99 we've ever spent on a room and I hope we never go back. It's a real shame. We've liked Holiday Inn Expresses up to that point.

Looking forward to the next time
I loved everything about it our room was exceptional and the overall service with a smile was outstanding. My husband and I got the room with the jacuzzi and I can honestly say it was worth every penny we spent.

We'll be back
By Caren R, 7/10/06
My daughter and I stayed here and loved the place!! When we walked into our room, I was amazed at how good it smelled!!! It was very clean and didn't smell at all like a closed up hotel room!! The hotel staff was extremely helpful. We arrived early, and Kevin checked to make sure our room had been cleaned. Checkout was super smooth!!! My daughter says that the pool was REALLY warm. I didn't go down there! We will definitely return to this place!!!
