Great hotel with a bad location.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree Hotel Niagara Falls.
The rooms at this hotel are amazing. When I stayed here in July 2006, I decided to book a Fallsview Suite and am glad I did. We were on the 17th floor (#1701) and had a spectacular view of the falls. The living room was nice, but the couch and chair were quite firm and uncomfortable. There was a hall with a gorgeous bathroom which had upscale robes and toiletries. The curved shower rod fell down and a repair specialist soon came up and fixed it. Now to get on to my favorite part... the beds. Triple sheeting, goose down feather comforters, 4 feather pillows, and a small decorative pillow that said, "Sweet Dreams" and boy did I have some...
The pool was my husband and son's favorite part of the stay. From what I hear, they had it all to themselves and with two different pools at different depths so it was great for us.
The dining room has decent food, but a dinner for two isn't worth $75. I'm sorry but it just isn't.
The location was lowsy if you're coming to see the falls. It is easily a 10-15 minute walk to the falls. But if you want food entertainment, it's right outside the front door. The Doubletree is at the top of Clifton Hill, which, if you don't know, is like the world's largest block of food, entertainment, hotels, and amusment park rides.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The cookies they give you at check-in are ooooh so great and delicious!!
The most expenisive suite was easily in my budget only costing $200.00 a night...so it isn't an expensive 4 star hotel...it's just avereage (I think a standard room was about $90).
Hope my review was helpful.
