Alot of Fun
By ,
The Double Tree was an awsome pick. The rooms were clean and didnt have any hidden dislikes and the "river view" was actually a fallsview for us on the 11th floor. The rooms have nice comfortable beds and sheets with alot of space for bags so you dont trip over them while you are enjoying the room. I got a chance to work out in the workout room and relax in the hottube area which was nice. Everything was near by and can be walked to if your not affraid to walk alittle bit. It took about 10minutes to walk to the falls not bad had good photo-ops on the way. The price and taxing was out of this world $6 dollar coffes at starbucks,$12 smokes and every tax they could think of for everything ,made this trip a costly one. $10 a night self parking also caught me off guard.

Very pleased...would highly recommend!!!
By ,
I had the task of picking the perfect hotel for a trip up with my two young children(5 & 7), my picky sister & my mom...this was it, everyone was pleased! It was the best compromise for value, quality & location...we thought the hotel was beautiful, the beds & pillows were amazingly comfortable & the view was fabulous! We had a 2-queen American Fallsview room on the 17th floor, had THE perfect view for the fireworks (we thought they would be over the Horseshoe Falls but they do them over the American Falls...right outside our window, very cool!) The pool area was awesome (other than being over-chlorinated)...wish we could have spent more time there. Tips - 2 blocks from the Falls is a little misleading. Everything is spread out so expect a bit of a walk no matter where you stay. We tried & really liked the outdoor dining at Coco's on Murray St. They were reasonably priced & very good. Clifton Hill is fun for the kids but is very hard on the wallet. If you're going to do it...check for coupons online or buy the Fun Pass, & be selective! If you have a Lego fan...Brick City is amazing! We also liked the Skywheel (good for younger kids) & the Maid of the Mist. We missed the aviary but the Butterfly Conservatory is another must-see. Last, we drove up to Niagara-on-the-Lake...it is soooo gorgeous, well worth the drive just to go & browse. ~~~This was my 4th trip up, stayed in everything from a cheesy motel north of the Falls to a 5-star across from the Horseshoe...this was by far my favorite ~~~enjoy!

we enjoyed our stay
By ,
We only stayed for one night, we had the view of the falls w/jet bath, upon our arrival the desk people weren't as welcoming as I would expect, but the warm cookie was good. I was disappointed that there wasn't as shuttle or free parking being that we were staying at the doubletree. The location was good. But having a shuttle to take us where the fireworks and music was going on would have been nice. Especially after walking allday, we would have liked a shuttle that could take us there and back to our rooms that way we could have enjoyed the night life a little more. The bed was comfortable, however, the room could have been a little cooler, however, you can make a two cup of coffee in the morning that was nice. The hotel didn't offer any breakfast at all, that was disappointing. The room was nice, the shower gives a new meaning to standing room only. The outdoor hot tub could have been cleaner. We would stay again.

Great hotel with a bad location.
By ,
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree Hotel Niagara Falls. The rooms at this hotel are amazing. When I stayed here in July 2006, I decided to book a Fallsview Suite and am glad I did. We were on the 17th floor (#1701) and had a spectacular view of the falls. The living room was nice, but the couch and chair were quite firm and uncomfortable. There was a hall with a gorgeous bathroom which had upscale robes and toiletries. The curved shower rod fell down and a repair specialist soon came up and fixed it. Now to get on to my favorite part... the beds. Triple sheeting, goose down feather comforters, 4 feather pillows, and a small decorative pillow that said, "Sweet Dreams" and boy did I have some... The pool was my husband and son's favorite part of the stay. From what I hear, they had it all to themselves and with two different pools at different depths so it was great for us. The dining room has decent food, but a dinner for two isn't worth $75. I'm sorry but it just isn't. The location was lowsy if you're coming to see the falls. It is easily a 10-15 minute walk to the falls. But if you want food entertainment, it's right outside the front door. The Doubletree is at the top of Clifton Hill, which, if you don't know, is like the world's largest block of food, entertainment, hotels, and amusment park rides. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The cookies they give you at check-in are ooooh so great and delicious!! The most expenisive suite was easily in my budget only costing $200.00 a night...so it isn't an expensive 4 star hotel...it's just avereage (I think a standard room was about $90). Hope my review was helpful.

Was only OK, and not really a 4 star
By ,
First of all, it's not up to par of a 4 star in Niagara Falls. It just doesn't meet the standard of cleanliness, service or prime location to meet that criteria. Staff told me on the phone it was a short walk to the Casino. Well, they lied. It was a miserable walk to the casino, especially when it wasn't great weather. Cleanliness was about equivalent to an average 3 star. The place is cheap, and OK. But if you want a 4 star and close to the casino you're better off looking elsewhere.

WONDERFUL STAY!
The staff was very pleasant, the beds were super comfortable. Rooms were cleaned very well. Starbucks and Aveda day spa in the lobby! Convenient to walk just about everywhere. We only stayed 2 nights - I would've loved to stay longer!! Worth every penny....

Loved It!
By ,
Wonderful view from the 18th floor. Bed was so comfortable. Bathroom was a little lacking, door to private shower commonde area didin't close, towels are so rough they hurt, and a really small shower, but I didn't take a vacation for the bathroom and would recommned this hotel to anyone. Having to pay for parking every day as a guest of the hotel was really bizarre.

Good Value
By ,
Room was large and clean, and very reasonably priced. Lobby and pool decor were wonderful, also enjoyed outdoor hot tub area. We walked back and forth everyday to the Clifton Hill/Falls area-about 10 minutes away. Stay for the value, not a view of the falls (will only be a little sliver). Would go back.

Kind of disappointing
By ,
Lovely room but could only see a sliver of the falls and we were on the 16th floor. It was very clean, however, one huge drawback... the towels were like sandpaper! OUCH. Disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The restaurant buffet breakfast was a disappointment as well. Food was cold, limited selection, and very bland. There were other cheaper places very close by. I wish we had stayed somewhere else.
