Holiday Inn Capitol Conference, Atlanta

I booked a room here for my honeymoon. We were going to a Braves game and wanted a hotel close to the stadium. I payed 199.00 dollars for my room (1 night) so I figured it had to be a nice hotel. I was wrong. After waiting 45 mins in the lobby to check in, I was given my room key. My wife and I went up to our floor and the smell of cigarretes was so bad I couldnt believe it. I then used our key to open the door to our room and was met by a crack-head looking woman in my room. The woman was acting very strange and told me that this was her room and that they must have double booked it. I went down to the lobby and told the manager. She got on the phone and told someone that this was the 3rd guest that had been to a room that was already booked. She then left and came back 15 mins later. She then told me that she just came from my room and it no one was in there. I told her that there just was and wasnt staying in a room where a crack-head just came out of. The manager then told me I could stay in that room or leave and that she wasnt going to give me a refund. I have no idea what the woman in my room was doing before I got there and was not going to stay in a room right after she left that hadnt been cleaned. There were 4 other guest waiting to speak with the manager who also had complaints. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen and the manager was the rudest I have ever dealt with. If you stay at this hotel you are going to regret it!!!!!

there were no wash rags in room, i called. never got them. someone left parking gate open , which we paid $18.00 for private parking, and broke into a car parked next to our's.

the 3 positive things about this holiday inn is the friendliness of staff , easy to find from the interstate and we could walk to the braves game. other than that, they don't charge you for the room when you "reserve" the room in advance, they charge you $15 per night to park your car YOURSELF, the elevator wait is VERY LONG, the noise level is loud all night long, the cleaning lady knocked on the door way before check out time, and the alarm was set for 5:30am and woke us up. we prob wont return to this hotel mainly because of price. it was just convenient for the baseball game.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was very good, and the location was perfect for the baseball game. The thing that stood out the most about this hotel was the shuttle service! Both drivers we were driven by were super nice and very helpful. They were there every time we needed them and were very knowledgeable about the city. It was very worth the parking fee to never have to worry about driving, looking for things, or getting lost.

Attended a conference in July and stayed for 4 nights. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. The restaurant in the hotel had delicious food. The pork chops were the best we've ever had! Our waitress Diane went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and then some. The shuttle was tremendous, took us everywhere we needed to go. Would love to return on vacation. Highly rcommend this hotel!

Liked the location... The only problem we had was trying to "wait" to check in with the Braves being in town. Had to circle... the block and back track to the entrance..... totally not the fault of the Hotel.

My only complaint was with the pillows in my room this weekend. They were not very comfortable. I really wish the Holiday Inn Select brand would go the route of the Express's and offer guest the option of the firm pillows or soft pillows. Next time I will just bring my own pillows.

If you're planning a conference here, be warned! This hotel lost our conference materials. The hotel only had to house the box for 24 hours before the guest would pick it up, but the box was lost. After speaking with the hotel for a frustrating 15 minutes, their story is either (1) UPS didn't deliver the box or (2) the hotel gave the box to a different guest. They don't actually count the number of boxes they receive or give away to guests so be careful if you ship multiple packages to this hotel. Service was frustrating as individual kept interrupting and talking down to me. If you stay at the hotel, don't trust that your packages will be safe in their hands.

This hotel is convenient to the interstate 20 and 75/85. The staff was friendly. The lock on our room would not work and the staff tried a few times to fix it, but never was fixed. The staff seemed concerned about our lock. Clean hotel. I would recommend.

- They charge you $15 a day to park your car... and you have to park it yourself. - No vent in Bathroom = MOLD. You could smell the mold when you walked into the room. - The carpet was in such bad shape it had big nasty spots in it. The carpet was coming up in one of the rooms my mother tripped; I went to three different rooms because of the smell and carpet. I was so disappointed in the conditions of this hotel. The bed was so uncomfortable like sleeping on box springs - The bathroom was the clearest place in the room. I was so excited to go to this hotel. I called the rest of my family that was in town for a wedding to change hotels and come over to the Holiday INN. It was so dishearten as my family arrived at the hotel before me and checked into the hotel, I started to get phone calls on the condition of the rooms. When I arrived I looked at the condition of the lobby it was nice and clean as I approached counter the staff greeted us with a smile I said this hotel can’t be that bad. I saw the condition of the carpet behind the counter I started to really worry. -When I walked into my room I had every reason to be worried. This hotel is not a three star hotel. Never again will I stay at this hotel again I got ripped off
