HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I have been having issues with the ESA at 2131 Gold St. San Jose, CA 95002 (408) 262 0401, since I checked in on 7/3/10. I came into the ESA at 10am on 7/3 and tried to check in, having forgotten that check in was at 3pm. The lady at the desk told me they would get a room cleaned for me by 12-12:30pm. I sat in my car until 12pm, then came in to ask again and they said no rooms were clean yet. I'm also pregnant and exhausted from being awake more than 24 hours and being on an airplane for most of the morning. I come back in at 2pm and there still aren't any rooms cleaned or available. I finally come back in from sitting in my car in the parking lot at 3pm and the lady at the front desk has the nerve to say "I don't know if it's clean yet I will have to go check." IT'S 3PM AT THE TIME WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY CHECK IN TIME. I finally get into my room and the room is filthy with crumbs on the counter, grease on all the dishes and stove top range, and the floors feel greasy as well. We got moved to another room later that day after complaining to corporate at 800-804-3724. Ever since then we have been getting rude looks from the staff and haven't been feeling comfortable making any requests of them. This past week we had been hearing loud noises from the floor above us 3-4 mornings of the week. My fiance went upstairs this morning 7/11/10 and realized his assumption was true that there was a housekeeper cleaning the room above ours. We never hear any noises from the guests staying above us, no footsteps or cabinets closing. But from about 8:30 am until this very moment at 10:09 am, there have been MANY cabinet doors being slammed shut and someone stomping around continually. My fiance asked the housekeeper if she could quiet down just a little bit and she said 'go to the front desk' and the noise has become louder since he came back down to our room. I called 800-804-3724 again and filed a complaint with a service representative but I wanted to put things in my own words. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. I am offended that they would treat a repeat customer like this, since I was here from 6/09-9/09 at this same ESA. I am also upset with the fact that they had me waiting in my car from 10 am until 3 pm on 7/3 telling me there were no rooms clean, when this housekeeper above me has been cleaning this room since 8:30 am. It is now 10:15 am and it sounds like she's throwing things onto the floor on purpose. I have NEVER heard noises this loud from the room above.
