Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Aransas Pass, Aransas Pass

From Kansas, stayed 3 nights. The room was clean, reasonably priced, very spacey suite, friendly staff. The laundry room was convenient. The suite very accommodating with the utensils, dinnerware, appliances, wireless internet. The Ferry was a close distance. Eating places and HEB close to motel. It was a great pool view out our windows. Enjoyed our stay, will definately stay here again! We would have liked a more firm bed. We were unable to locate an ice machine in the laundry room area beside the vending machine as posted.

The owner was very rude and hard to understand. He did not want to resolve issues and we had to wait for a hotel employee to get anything resolved. There were roaches and ants throughout the hotel. The rooms smelled horrible and there were stains all over the floor and furniture. The walls and lampshade had scribbling all over as if someone let a kid loose with a pen. My room key had to be reset everyday. Room service skipped a day. The breakfast consisted of runny eggs and sausage but good luck eating with a knife as there were no forks out. They have a waffle maker, but the waffle batter was too runny and would not take shape. The remote control did not work in the room. This was definately not the best hotel i had ever stayed in, but I believe it is the best Aransas Pass has to offer.

Best smelling hotel I have ever stayed. This is not the Driskill in Austin, but a great beach location. This hotel is just 5 miles from the ferry to Port Aransas, right next to an HEB for groceries, and you can walk to 2 of the best restaurants in Aransas Pass- Bakery Cafe and Corey's seafood. The only drawback is the lack of kitchen utensils---including extra coffee filters which is something that drives me crazy. But they do furnish coffee in filters and so maybe that is why. Easy to get anywhere in the coastal bend from this location.

Hotel rooms were not what we had reserved. Rooms were dirty. Railing to the pool and hot tub broken and very unsafe. Bad staff! Very rude and unaccomodating.

The hotel-stay itself was pleasant; clean rooms and hallways always a plus. My only and most dis-hearting experience was with the Dining Room staff on the morning I was to check-out. After helping myself to a bland "complimentary breakfast", I was also treated to rude comments and snickering from the staff who apperently didn't realize I was still in the dining area. I would have to recommend a serious review on hospitality and manners. After packing my belongings promptly, I was sure to address this situation with Management at check-out who quickly apologized for the rude behavior. Other Front Desk staff seemed unsuprised about the situation, as if this was not the first time complaints had been made. Go figure! If you do decide to stay at this hotel, be aware of the kitchen staff and report any bad experiences right away!

I just got back from vacation and had a wonderful stay. If you are ever in the Aransas Pass area, this is the place to stay. Room was very clean as was the pool and hot tub area. Front desk people were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast wasn't the best but it has a good selection, very well priced and a great place to stay. Its with in walking distance to the H-E-B and Port Aransas is only 5 miles away

Absolutely ideal place to stay away from the crowd in Port Aransas and the high costs in Port Aransas. We are pretty spoiled folks, and we stayed here because the folks we were traveling with could not afford pricy. We got great rates, great service, and could not have asked for a better place. You could shop at H.E.B. instead of being forced to purchase high priced items at the grocery store in Port Aranas. The hot breakfast was wonderful, and the studio suites were big and well equipped. Parked our 22 foot boat in back with no problems what so ever. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone. I know I read a review somewhere complaining about the hot tub. It was huge and very well maintained.

this place is the best the people are nice it was never trashed when i was there if you need somethin they bring it to you.the pool stays open all night long the texas size hot tub is very nice. you can cook out by the pool the price to stay there was an okay price not to much not to low. the rooms are big.

I enjoyed my two week stay at Hawthorne Suites in Aransas Pass. It is close to area restaurants and my kids and I enjoyed driving (via the ferry) to Port Aransas to go to Mustang Island Beach. This took us about 30 minutes. The pool/hot tub is nice and the staff friendly.

The Staff Was Real Friendly, and the prices were real reasonable. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The breakfast has a lot to choose from and has good flavor.
