Great hotel for business travelers
When I travel out to the Washington, DC and surroundings areas I am always concerned about where my hotel is and the amount of traffic nearby. This past trip in January was my first time staying at the Springhill Suites in Centerville and it was a welcome change from the normal craziness!
First, the location. Located conveniently near shopping, restaurants and office parks it is nestled away from the main road in such a manner that you will never hear the traffic. Getting in and out is a snap thanks to it being on a dead-end road that leads directly to the main roads.
Second, the rooms were clean and well furnished. My only complaint would be that in-room microwaves are very small and even trying to make popcorn in them was a challenge! Other than that, the hotel is currently being rennovated so there is some construction to navigate around but they are doing their best to make sure that doesn't interfere with your stay.
Finally, the price was reasonable for the accomodations. I used the corporate rate but found out that I could have saved about $40 a night if I had just used a rack rate! I was none too happy about that, but all hotels work that way -- you have to be a smart shopper yourself, they won't do it for you!
A good hotel well-suited for the business traveler for both short and long-term stays. A free, HOT breakfast every morning is an added treat!
