Chantilly Virginia Fairfield Inn: We went to Virginia for my husbands daughter's graduation. We have a family member that is an employee for Marriott that got us a family discount to stay for a week in June '10. On the third day the front desk called and asked that we stop being loud. "What?" I said. "We are not being loud ma'am." "You must have the wrong room. I rebuked. There were several young adults staying there smoking and drinking at the gazebo outside going in and out having a good time that I could tell and hear. So I thought that maybe they got us confused with them and didn't think another thing about it. Then after we got back home from the trip my husband was going over our accounts and noticed that the charge on our credit card was different than the charge from our recipet to the hotel. It was a $250 difference! He thought a fraud had occured and called the hotel. The women (Paula) that answerd said that the charge was added because someone had smoked in the room. My husband was baffled! After disputing the allogation,He asked to speak with the manager.My husband finally got in touch with the manager after two days of trying. My husband is one of the most laid back people on this earth and thought the matter could be rectified. The manger (Jose Herrera) insisted that someone smoked in the room and to add further ugliness to the matter, the manager said he was going to make sure that he gets a revoke on the employees family discount priviledges! (Our nephew) I am 43 years old and my husband is 50, We do not lie. We, nor anyone else smoked in that hotel. We will dispute this with our credit card company.
