Torres de Alba Hotel & Suites, Panama City

This was our third time there and I will say that as far as cleanliness and the accommodations there was no problem. Our experience was that on our third day there they were working on the electricity to their third tower, unfortunately, they failed to notify the folks in the hotel. My husband and I were on our way out and found out that as we left our suite, there was no electricity ergo no lighting in the hallway and of course the elevators were not working. Try going back into your suite when you can not see even the cards in your wallet so therefore we are stuck in the hallway. Add to that the fact that my husband is handicapped from a stroke that he had a few years ago. Luckily, my son was in the lobby and found out what was going on so he called me and asked if we were ok. I told him that we were in the darkened hallway with no way to get back into our suite. He asked the person at the desk if he had a flashlight and he told him no. So, he took the stairs and went all the way to the 12th floor. The folks at the desk did nothing to help, even though they were told that my husband was handicapped and that we could not see to find our card to get back into our suite. My son got to us and we took the stairs. I went ahead and luckily by the time we got to the 9th floor the elevators were functiioning. We never got an apology or any demonstration that they felt bad about our experience. I do not think that this is a safe place to be. What if there had been a fire? There was no emergency plan in place. The folks at the desk sat there and let it happen. They did not notify us that the electricity was going to be off, and once they found out that some of us where trapped in the hallway, they did nothing. Shame on them. We visited this hotel in July 2009

Great location, clean spacious rooms, and very affordable. you can select from a standard hotel room or a Condo. i had the Condo and it had everything including a washer and dryer! Only negative is that there is no Bar.

The warm hearted ness and promptness of the staff. There was a gentle men there named Derek and he was very accomodating. Especially on check out time very speedy and extremely efficint.

Excellent service. Friendly & helpful staff from front desk people , to housekeeping staff to workers in cafe . Reasonable rates.

I have stayed here many times. Safe area well located and huge rooms. Rooms include a kitchen, clothes washer and dryer. There is also a cofee maker. The bath is large, and tiled in marble. A hair dryer is included as is a wall safe. The bedroom is large and an iron and ironing board is included. Breakfast is complimentary. There is a internet hook up in each room, but no wifi

MY SON AND I HAD A FATHER-SON VACATION AND STAYED HERE. IT WAS A GREAT BARGAIN AND A GOOD INTRODUTION FOR MY SON TO PANAMA CITY.

It's like home away from home with all the amenities including internet access. It's always a good experience. The staff is polite and always helpful. Guaranteed a good wholesome breakfast every day. Shopping in the nearby areas is delightful especially at the 24 hr supermercado. I would consider the area to be quite safe. I would definately recommend this accomodation to anyone who is travelling to Panama. Hope to be back again soon!

I cooked our food and washed clothes like I was at home and I like it. There are restaurants around, supermarket and fast food stores close by. Derek at the front desk is a very helpful guy.

We liked every thing about Torres de Alba. Especially the beds. Softest we've ever slept in. Another thing, not on the ad is there's a casino across the street. And not just a casino, a humongo grande one. Of course what do we know? We're just hicks from Texas.
