GREAT HOTEL
By Brian, 03/05/08
We do not understand the other reviews. The customer service was amazing. We stayed Fri and Sat. I came back to the hotel late on Saturday evening and the restaurant was closed. The concierge saw me and asked if he could help suggest where I could get a bite and even offered to get it!!! The breakfast is very good with an egg station. My husband's omelette was just as he likes. They were very attentive. Our room was not fancy, but up to date and clean. They offer complimentary Starbucks in the lobby in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will return due to the great location near old Pasadena.

Ho HUM!

You will have to go to the front desk yourself if you want to get the extra amenities you need(shampoo, conditioner, cream, etc) The hotel halls look as if they are under renovation. Carpet look shabby.

Terrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/06/06
My wife and I arrived to find our room carpet had been very recently washed/steamed (and there was a sign on the bed explaining this, so it wasn't a mistake), so our carpet was wet for the first night and day of our stay. Stupid mistake not to check out at that point. When I tried to complain about it, no managers were available. I have still yet to be able to reach a manager about it, and they have not returned my call. I received my bill via email and checked to see if maybe they had given me some sort of credit. Instead I found that they had also charged me $300 for a "smoke free cleaning". I can assure you neither my wife nor I smoke. I called the hotel about it, and, surprise, no manager was available. I have yet to receive a return call about that issue either (and meanwhile the charge is still on my card). This was easily my worst experience at a major chain hotel.

party music so loud could not sleep on 4th floor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/05
I stayed at this location on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005. There was a party on the 1st floor. My room was on the 4th. The bass was so loud that our side of the building shook. I turned up the ac unit and the tv but still heard and felt the music. Come on, something should have been done to reduce the noise. We called the desk and were told "so sorry" it should stop at 11 p.m. Still going at midnite. called again and was told "so sorry" we know it is bad - other guests have called to complain. Nothing we can do.... Pleeeeeeeeease.

Pleasantly Surprised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/05
This hotel was in the perfect location for downtown Pasadena. The hotel was very ordinary and had no view at all. However, the location was worth the value. I loved downtown Pasadena.

Mediocre
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/05
This hotel needs a face lift. The rooms are tired and need to be updated. Many of the amenities need to be refurbished. The television selection is poor. If it were not for the location I would not stay here. The air conditioning units are very noisy to the point where you cannot have them running when you try to sleep. Most of the people are very friendly and helpful.

Not much charm.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/05
It's about what you'd expect of a Courtyard Marriott. Nice, but not much charm. It's pleasant walk from the shopping and attractions of Old Town Pasadena. If I stay in Pasadena again, I'll probably look for something with a bit more atmosphere.

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/04
I have stayed her twice. Once for a wedding and another time for Occidental College's graduation. It's a nice central location in the heart of the restored downtown area. You are within walking distance of bars, shops, and restaurants.

That guy is a joke
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/04
The person who wrote the poor review also wrote the exact same thing about the Pasadena Westin on the exact same day! Did you really stay the night at both?...Or perhaps, more likely, you are affiliated with another local hotel. I wouldn't trust them. My sister's wedding guests stayed here and loved everything about it. It's a reasonable value, the location is awesome, and it's well maintained. I am having my guests stay there too.
