Nice, but a tad disorganized....
My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to an anniversary night out and reserved the Romantic Weekend package. Let me admit upfront, this was a very last minute decision and we booked online about an hour ahead of our arrival. The package included a bottle of non-alcoholic bubbly at arrival, and room service for breakfast, the latter being a very appealing option. At check-in we were told breakfast is self-serve from the lobby, that they did not provide room service. When I questioned this, the registration staff commented she was knew in the job, but would ask her supervisor and would call our room to let us know how to place a breakfast order. By 10pm, and no phone call, I decided to call the Front Desk. The phones did not work. I was able to reach them on my cell and was again told she would call me back. At 11:15pm the phone rang (at least we knew it was working!) and it was the Front Desk to say they were sending someone up with an order form for breakfast. I have to say, the selections were quite impressive for a typically self-serve deal, and breakfast arrived on time the next morning. Unfortunately, half the order was missing (my husband's selections) and there was only one set of utensils (everything else was clearly for two people, as was indicated on the order form). Once reminded, the bottle of bubbly showed up with breakfast, but without a bottle opener. Breakfast was very good though.
I was also surprised to see a desk/chair arrangement in an otherwise "romantic weekend" room. We had taken dinner with us to the hotel, but there was no where to sit and eat. A small round table with a couple of chairs would have been a better choice for this type of room.
I know this all sounds very petty, and it probably is, but sometimes it's the little things that also matter.
Overall, the motel was very, very clean, pretty, comfortable king sized bed, nice jacuzzi whirlpool in the bedroom, and a great location. I would stay here again, but next time I would go over all the smaller details with staff beforehand, so that expectations are clearn on both sides.
