Pretty Nice
By RonaldT, 07/01/09
I liked the price (about $50.00) and the renovations they are doing. My room had just been completed. The AC was an old one, and it didn't work very well, however. And, the elevator was broken the morning I left. They're in the middle of upgrading the place, so it's good and bad. The room was done in a much higher grade than is normally found at a Days Inn. And, the shower curtains were Ramada curtains. It looks like the place is being converted over to a Ramada, which it shares a parking lot with. Actually, both hotels are owned by the same people, as the manager informed me. I would stay here again. RJT

Only the rats were missing from this dump!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/08
I think the rats checked out and went to a better hotel. Don't give this hotel your business. This hotel would be sub-standard in remote villages in Southeast Asia. The wall around the bathtub was caved in and water from the shower poured into the hole. One can only shudder at the mold that must be growing inside the wall. The bathroom itself was filty. The safety lock on the door was broken. Ironically, the hotel charged us for an in-room safe that we did not want or use. We complained at the front desk and asked for the manager but nothing happened. We filed a complaint with the President of Days Inn. He directed us back to the owner and general manager of the hotel. He assured us that "both the general manager and owner have endorsed and are committed to the Days Inn service standard." They never contacted us. Since I have no reason to disbelieve the President of Days Inn, I have to assume the Days Inn service standard was represented by this hotel. Considering that neither the owner and general manager of this Days Inn, and apparently the President of Days Inn, don't really care about maintaining any quality in their hotels, my advice to anyone thinking about staying at this Days Inn or any other Days Inn would be "Don't do it!!" Go somewhere else that appreciates your business and provides a clean, safe, and sanitary hotel worth what you have to pay. I have photos but unfortunately no way to post them. By the way, I booked this room through Wyndham Worldwide Hotel Group, which includes Days Inn, Knights Inn, Super 8, Ramada Inn, Travelodge, and Howard Johnson, among others. When I emailed Wyndham with my complaint about the Days Inn that they reserved for me, they never responded. I wrote back and requested the address for the President of the Hotel Group and they never responded. I suggest that you not book reservations through Wyndham Worldwide.

Shopping Get Away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/07
I liked that it was close to the shopping areas. It was walking distance and safe for women. The receptionist an older woman was very friendly and helpful. The others need some more expreience, should be more aware of their surroundings.I had Good servive, when I asked for something to be done it was not a problem. You could always find someone to take you shopping if you did not want to walk. I am not a negative person, but this hotel needs more English speaking people. There are a few things that need some attention. It did have a sign saying it was under renovations. Wish them luck with this....I would stay there again...

Stay away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/06
I am not fussy -- I've stayed in $4 a night hotels in Asia, budget hostels all over the world, etc. -- so it's rare for me to give a terrible review. But this was the worst experience I've ever had. I prepaid for the room because it was Thanksgiving weekend. When we arrived, the room was disgustingly dirty, and had two beds rather than the king I'd paid for. The hotel was full and the clerk refused to move us. The next day, we were given an acceptable room, thankfully. Then, days later, I discovered I'd been overcharged by $40. I called repeatedly but managers were never in or never able to help me. I filed a complaint with the national chain; the management was supposed to respond within 7 days. A month later, the national franchise refunded me for the first night and my overcharge. I made a dozen phone calls, sent a fax, etc., taking up hours of my time to get this done. I would never, ever stay here again and will probably avoid Days Inns in the future, though perhaps they are not all as bad as this one. The second room was fine -- it was the horrible service and indifferent management that really bothered me.

Worst hotel ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/16/05
We had a group of 15 people (6 rooms) and it was the worst any of us had ever stayed at. I WILL NEVER AGAIN STAY AT A DAYS INN. They were rude and the hotel itself was dirty!!! Thankfully we were only there 1 night!!!!!!!

The worst hotel ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/05
This is the worst hotel I experienced. First of all, it was hard to locate this hotel in terms of the direction and the address. Finally the police pointed out the exit for 103th street, and no sign on lights. Secondary, the room was such old and humidity. I could not take a deep breath when we got in the room. Sink and bath tube were rusted in heavy. Floor was not fully covered by carpet. It was suprising there was no alarm clock in the room, and lights and TV were not pluged in for use. This is amazing how Yahoo recommend this kind of hotel to the travelers.

Who are you trying to kid!!
By BERNARDETTE, 07/01/04
I recently stayed in this hotel in June of 2004 and the place is NASTY and DIRTY!!! The pictures that they show are not from the Days Inn, but of the Ramada Inn that they share the lot with. The elevator was ragged and beat-up, it even stopped while my children and I were on it. The room had a reclining chair that was so broken down that you could not even sit in it. The bathroom had not 1 but 2 big water spots on the celing that were not brown, but BLACK which indicates mold.I will say for the most part that the women who worked in housekeeping were friendly and one of the women at the front desk was nice, however the men were rude!!! If they really want to have customers come back, they need to REMODLE!!!!!!!!
