Guaranteed Reservation Rate Not Honored
We had an online guaranteed reservation with this hotel in Oct of 2008, for arrival in Oct of 2009 we had the print out with the rate, reservation number etc. In Feb 2009 the manager of the hotel called our home and told us he could not honor the rate that we had booked the room at. It was like an auction with him back and forth about the rate. Instead of paying the 60.88 that we had reserved the room at, after all the rate bickering it went up to $75.00 per night. At check in, he tried to raise the rate again another $25.00 per night, stating that every hotel in Kansas City was sold out. He finally honored the second rate we received of $75.00 per night, after showing the emails with the first rate, and the second rate. Beware of this hotels unscrupulous business practice regarding guaranteed rates.
