Sea Foam Motel, Wildwood

We reserved 20 rooms at this place in January. Now in May, 4 months later, the owner calls us up and says we can't have the rooms any more, and my wedding is 4 months away! Our guests have nowhere to stay, I, the BRIDE, have nowhere to stay or get ready... what am I suppose to do?! We've already recieved deposits from guests to stay at those rooms, now we have to call everyone and tell them they either have to find a new place to stay or after the reception ends at midnight they could make the two hour drive back home to Philly. There are no rooms available anywhere on the island because it's a busy weekend with a convention going on. This guy calls our house angry at US... HE booked the rooms. If he knew they weren't available he 1. shouldn't have booked in the first place and 2. could have called A LOT sooner than 4 months later! We made a trip down there even and he gave us a tour of the building! Ridiculous... my wedding is ruined because of this.

The room my 14 year old and I stayed was charming. A 1950’s architectural styled structure, the Sea Foam’s balconies welcomed ocean breezes. I liked the fact that the key to our room was an actual KEY and not a card!!! The room was clean with 1970’s styled furniture. Accommodations included two full beds, a nice sized little refrigerator with freezer area, a microwave, and HBO on the TV. There is a pool on the premises which families with small children appeared to enjoy. The bathroom had a tub with sliding glass doors and the water pressure was PERFECT!!! I hate it when it just trickles. The friendly owner was active in the daily day to day operations observed checking the work of the housekeeping staff. Hey Adam! If you are reading this thanks for the restaurant recommendation! With the Wildwood Convention Center, the Comedy Club, and the boardwalk a very short walk away, the Sea Foam was the perfect choice for this budget conscious NY Nurse.

The manager was very accomodating. The room was okay, with outdated fixtures and a/c unit (we were switched to another room when our a/c didn't work). The a/c units from adjacent rooms dripped on our heads as we used the stairways. The parking was awkward, we had to leave our key with the front desk in case someone else had to get out, since we were blocking them. No in-room coffee maker. Again, good service and friendly staff, but would try to find a better place next time.

NEVER! EVER! give your credit card number--and Make Certain to get a cancellation number if you have to cancel. I cancelled and got a 3 night charge anyway--very dishonest business practices!!!

I am a continual vistor of this motel for many reasons. It is under new management and has undergone many improvements. Renovations have been made to rooms and the exterior of the motel. Pool redone and very attractive. Pictures have not been updated so they are of the motel in the past. This year I see it as a top motel in the Wildwood area and highly suggest a stay. Prices are affordable and reasonable with the type of room you stay in.

This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. There was cardboard over a window in the kitchen, the oven/stove didn't work, the freezer had NEVER been defrosted and the fridge was filthy, there were dirty utensils in the drainer, the bathroom was horrendous, there were no curtains on the bedroom windows (one of which was broken),the furniture was old and beat, one bed was actually on a wooden box (not rails), there were large holes in the walls covered by plywood nailed over them, and the pool is UNheated. We'll NEVER return here. BEWARE!

Greatest place I have ever been to. Great Value. I should go there all the time. I definatly will go there next year and the rest of the years of my life. I highly recommend this to everyone, families and kids alike. The picture for this does not do it justice. Big, clean, well furnished rooms, and attentive service.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! They charge you full price when you make a reservation, don't give you the credits back after cancellation 3 weeks in advace. Even Can't find a Tel# to resolve the issue. I am wondering this might be the case: 'Sopranos move to South Jersey and behind this place?'
