not bad
By tabby, 6/2/11
it was my fiancee and i's first visit together, the room was spacious and clean, the bedding needs to be updated but the bed was comfortable. The vending machine took are money twice and the lady at the counter made us feel as though we wanted something free when we told her the machine took are money. The lady on may 26th who checked us in was very courteous and accomodating. We would stay there again, but the breakfast room full of school children on weekdays will keep us away.Good location, and overall not too bad

The place is as bad as the other reviews.
By MrPeanut12345, 9/2/10
If you're going to stay in Nassau, spend a little more money on another place. Room was dirty, plumbing didn't work (low or no water pressure in the shower with little hot water), with the staff having basically "a could care less attitude. I did notice a few bugs in the room. Some were roaches, and others were species that might be unique to this hotel. The only thing I can say positive about this place is I didn't spot any rats. This can only be because the rats even have better standards and have decided to avoid staying here.

You get, exactly what you pay for
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/10
My husband and I went to this hotel and fortunately, it was only for one night because I would not have stayed a minute over. For most of the day on Saturday, the water was off. We kept calling the front desk to find out when it would be back on and the only response we got was that BEC was working on it and would get back to them. Apart from this HUGE inconveniece, we were battling a roach all night who must have assisted us in paying for that nights stay. Upon checking out the next day, we ask it would got get a late check out, only to be told that there would be an additional $35 to have the room until 1 p.m. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, anytime, at any price.

Honeymoon HORROR!
By Sylvia, 5/7/09
My new husband and I decided to stay here for our honeymoon and unfortunately never read any of the reviews warning us how bad it is. The staff ALL have cold, unpleasant attitudes and aren't helpful in the slightest. The room was dirty: the bathroom tub had a dirt ring around it and the sink had dirt still sitting in it. The floor was sticky and DISGUSTING...needless to say we didnt even walk around in our socks. The window AC unit cut off after a few minutes and we had to keep resetting it to work. Didnt see any roaches but then again one of the lamps in the room didnt work so it was dim. It was sooo noisy outside at night. Car horns beeping, constant partying and people yelling. We were told breakfast was included but it was a separate charge. $8/per person NOT including the canned apple drinks. 3 extra strips of bacon was $3.50! We checked out after breakfast and vow never to go back there again. It was shocking because we've stayed at Quality Inns in the States and they have always been great. Please heed the advice: dont stay here...fork out the extra $20-30/night for better hotel!!!!

Don't Stay Here, here's why
By Melissa, 3/17/08
This place was so bad. Here is my list.. 1. The sheets had holes in them. 2. No hot water. 3. The entire hotel was dirty. 4. You can hear everything going on outside the room, very loud. 5. They charge you $4.00 for breakfast, which is a dry bagel (no cream cheese), warm milk for the ceral, cheap danishes and OJ and Apple juice. (DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY) GO to McDonalds down the street!! 6. Staff was not nice, had big attitudes. 7. They charge you $2.00 a day for the safe. 8. They charge you for beach chairs on the beach. 9. The beach has sea shells, glass and rocks so wear some water shoes. 10. They charge for internet. I wouldn't have mind so much if it wasn't like $134 a night. Oh and they charge you for the maid service. Hope this helps some people.

Poor Quality and Service
By Anthony, 8/22/07
The hotel didn't meet my expectations, even after we moved here from another location (Towne Hotel) and were promised better quality service and cleanliness. I stayed in other Quality Inns (in the U.S.)that were of a much higher standard. At this hotel, I alerted an attendant regarding in-room roaches. When I later inquired about a remedy, the front desk employee simply stated that other staff had not passed on the message. There were a lot of undeserved additional charges, such as maid service and energy taxes. Amazingly, the so-called complimentary breakfast was only for one. My spouse had to pay. Although there were no signs, at breakfast I was told I could only have one of each item (ration?). The A/C in our room stopped working and we were forced to change to a room with a lesser view. The clerk first erroneously put us in the same room with another party who was also changing rooms due to an electrical failure. Unfortunately, the A/C in our new room leaked water and soaked my luggage. With one exception, the staff was quite unhelpful.

Not as bad as everyone says
By Tiffany, 3/27/07
After reading all the reviews on here and on tripadvisor, I have to say I was really scared to stay at this hotel. But it really wasn't as bad as everyone says. The room was large, clean and serviced daily by a friendly maid. The beds were comfortable enough for sleeping. I only saw one roach the entire week we stayed there and it was small. You've got to keep in mind that you're on a Caribbean island...there's bound to be bugs. The staff was friendly if you were friendly to them. The only complaint was that we had lukewarm showers for the week which we got used to. I would highly recommend this hotel for spring breakers and other budget conscious travelers. The location is great...less than 10 minute walk from the Fish Fry and downtown, and the hotel is across the street from the Beach. Don't get sucked into the nice photos of the Nassau Palm Resort. It's right next door to the Quality Inn, and is not that nice. Don't pay the ridiculous "resort" fee to stay there. Just stay at the Quality Inn...it's cheaper.

Seen Better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/07
The location is closer to downtown than not. However, for the price I stayed better. The hotel staff wasn't that friendly. The room was a place to sleep and stow your stuff and not much else. So if you are looking to be close to the downtown action for a cheaper price this is it. But if you are staying in Nassau for more than a couple days, go elsewhere, like the Orange Hill Inn.
