This place was terrible. We had a jaquzzi room, and the jaquzzi did not work at all. We tried to talk to the front desk and they did not care. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke with cigarette burns all around the bed. The towels had huge yellow stains. There was what looked like toothpaste stains on the chairs and floor. It was extremely gross there! Couldn't wait to check out!

Saw the hotel being built while visiting KC, which I do 3 or 4 times a year. Stayed there every year since, so I've noted the extremely fast rate of decline. Hotel was not built well and interior and room soft goods are sub-par. Freeway noise is very evident and you can hear people walking down the corriders! Started experiencing problems with them overbooking rooms about 3 years ago & it's gotten worse every year. This year called 3 times and visited once to confirm reservations - guaranteed to a credit card - but when arrived was greeted by dumb looks and the news that they had no idea who we were, we didn't have a reservation, they couldn't contact the manager, and there was nothing they could or would do. Called Microtel's website who said this is no longer a Microtel, but they can't make them take the signs down, which is a lie as I've worked for a franchise system before - AND they're still listed on the website. Hotel we finally found rooms at had a steady stream of people from Microtel with the same story. Then their air conditioning went out and they wer offering rooms really cheap - if you made your own bed! Disgusting. NEVER stay at ANY Microtel.

- Carpet stains everywhere. - Service at the counter was very poor. - I laughed when I saw the "Continental Breakfast." - The locks on the exterior doors were busted. - The AC unit was comparable to the noise of a 747 jet engine not to mention tempature control was non-exsistent. The only reason I stayed at this place was that it was the only one in the area that we could find late night that allowed Pet's as we were traveling cross country.

Very Disappointed and definitely not worth the $75+ going rate! Looked like a nice hotel from the outside but definitely needed better housekeeping and maintenance staff. Only good thing was the front desk staff who were very helpful and the bed was actually comfortable. Cons-- room was filthy; had to ask that new sheets be placed on both beds (I'll spare you the details), carpet had not been vacuumed in quite some time, non-smoking room had cigarette burns in the bedspread and smelled like smoke, no remote control, room had towels for only 2 people so had to ask for more, alarm clock went off at 6am, jacuzzi was lukewarm and did not have working jets, pool was clean but too cold for the kids. My son liked the hot waffles for breakfast--- too bad the waffle timer didn't work and burned most of them!! Wished I would have paid just a little more to stay at a better hotel.

Pool was filthy. Room carpet was sticky. Charged my VISA for nights not stayed. No building locks, marginal safety. Not worth it for any family. STAY AWAY.

This hotel was a great value. The staff was excellent and they went beyond the call of duty We were pleasantly suprised at the locations ease at getting around Kansas City. New Management has really improved things at the hotel. The amities have all been upated and the beds are super comfy!
