Hotel Los Gatos and Spa, Los Gatos

I booked a room here two years ago for Valentine's Day on the basis that it was close to my home, and we could easily get home if the babysitter ran into an issue. I was very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were small, but richly accoutered. The staff was fine with my running in and out of the hotel getting ready to surprise my wife, and were quite helpful. For dinner that night, we were able to get reservations at Kuleto's which was naturally booked well in advance. And the meal & service at the restaurant was wonderful. I liked the ambiance of the small pool with plenty of outdoor seating. Also, the small outdoor "rooms" or spaces for congregating made for quite a romantic setting. For business purposes, I think the furnishings were those one would expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel. Moreover, the Hotel Los Gatos puts you in a cute small town, so you can easily walk to town rather than have the business hotel experience of eating in the hotel night after night, or have to get a taxi/rental car. There is also a cigar shop around the corner for one so inclined. The fact that there is a spa on site (as well as others nearby) further cement in the benefits of this hotel for Romance or for Business Travel.
