Hilton Dubai Creek, Dubai

The Deluxe Plus room that I stayed in has a jacuzzi and ceiling-to-floor glass windows stretching across the entire front and one side of the room. The panoramic view of the Dubai Creek from that room was really great. This hotel is small, with 150+ rooms and only two lifts servicing 14 floors. And although there were major roadworks next to the hotel, there was no noise. Service was very good -- prompt and unobtrusive. But the real gem in this hotel is the world-class restaurant, Verre. Owned by the 3 Michelin Star chef Gordon Ramsay, the food was simply outstanding. Expensive but well worth it. Downsides: The rooftop pool is very small and so, too, is the gym.
