JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai, Mumbai

I stayed at the JW Marriott and was pretty impressed. The setting is mind-blowing; it feels like you are staying at a Club Med. The gym is good, the breakfast buffet is ridiculous (in a good way!), and the rooms decent (not huge but not tiny either). After midnight, the lobby turns into a great place to people watch; some of Mumbai's most beautiful stroll in and out. I'm not exactly sure where they go b/c the club (Enigma) is really bad. On the cons, the hotel management sometimes will nickel and dime you. This is not what I'd expect from a 5-star where I'm already spending a lot of cash. Also, there was a mixup with my reservation and they tried to charge me 30% more - they ultimately gave me the price I wanted but I had to be extra vigilante or they might have slipped it past me. Otherwise, the service was generally good. In short, the JW is a good place to stay if you are willing to shell out some serious cash. Oh yea, the (off and on) Internet connection costs $25/day.

it was spacious. clean. well located. awesome pool and fantastic gym, steam room, jacuzzi etc... staff were very helpful and freindly. even first thing in the morning when ur walking down the corridor with a terrible hangover they are still full of happy energy, and smiling wishing you a good morning. the restaurants, Saffron and Spices were truly out of this world food and certainly can't wait to go back and dine there again. only thing i would change is the fact that they charge about 10 times the price of a regular taxi to take you to the aiport. i am not use to other 5* hotels in the world doing this. otherwise i was very happy with things.

LOVED IT!!!!! Can't wait to stay there passing the Mumbai in April 08' with a missions team traveling on to Bangalore and Goa. The pools, scenery and food are excellent.

Far most one of the best place to stay whilst in Mumbai the nightclub is fantastic so are the restaurants they are super and the parties that take place every so often with lots of celebrities it’s just great. I go there every year and just can’t have enough LOVE IT.

There are many good points and features of this hotel such as the range of restaurants and food, gym and pool area. That is where it ended for me. The room we received which was not just the standard room was incredibly pokey in size and really inappropriate for business use. I had taken my girlfriend there with me whilst on a business trip. In terms of being able to work from the room, this was impossible. There was hardly enough room to move around. We had originally booked to stay there for 8 nights but ended up leaving after 6 due to this. As well as this, the night after we left, I took some clients to the Enigma nightclub which is in the hotel. We were of course refused entry as we were not hotel guests and we were an all male party. I had left the day before and settled a bill of around £1400. This fact did not matter. I was embarrassed and insulted as other groups of all males were permitted entry. A complaint by email upon my return home regarding the issue yielded no results. This hotel in my opinion is not well equipped for the business traveller. The attitude is slightly arrogant which is not acceptable to me. It feels like the hotel is more interested in servicing the local Bollywood crowd than its own existing or potential international travellers. Due to the issues we had here, I have instructed my employees to stop using all Marriott Hotels. There is much better for the money in Mumbai.

I spent a week in Mumbai on business, and although the city can be very challenging and rewarding, the JW was an oasis amid the chaos. It is very classy and clean. The staff was wonderful and service was always quick and efficient. The hotel is pricey, but it comes with safety and peace of mind.

JW Marriott was incredible. The breakfast buffet is to die for! They have a huge selection of both Indian and American food, make your own muffins, waffles, omelettes along with fresh juices and many pastries. The pools are amazing.... we stayed in a deluxe room which included use of the business lounge... free email access along with wine and cheese at night! The staff is friendly and never snotty, and service was amazing. I would definately stay here again the next time we go to Mumbai!

If you want to find a hotel that will make you feel like royalty this is it! I was impressed with the breathtaking view and the elegant style. The grounds are unbelievable. It is not often that marketing pictures do not do justice. But it is even more beautiful in person. The service is amazing and the rooms are perfect. I could not have enjoyed myself more. I wanted to stay longer and can not wait to visit again.

Nice hotel Good service pick up from airport. Nice car and good service. Infinity pool very nice over looking beach. Food very good nice breakfast buffet. Room a bit small but nice bed

the staff of the hotel were not good rooms were too small and the service was awful experience i was in ne of the restaurants and the manager even did not listen to my problem
