We wont be back!

My husband an I needed the room because we were heading to Arkansas due to the passing of his grandfather. We decided to stay in Sikeston at your hotel for many reasons. However none of which turned out to be correct. At 4am the power went out which also meant that we had no hot water when the time came to shower and get back on the road. I understand not being able to control the weather however, I don't understand why we woke up to the sudden surprise of no power. I fail to understand why the manager couldn't come upstairs and politely explain the situation. When I questioned the manager about this situation she very spitefully said to me,"It's not our policy to wake our guests" My curiosity leads to wonder what would have happened in the event of a fire. Did the alarms still work without power? If they didn't, would we be woke up then? I shouldn't have to worry when I travel whether the five children we leave behind will ever see their mom and dad again. The next even happened when we got home and started checking bank accounts, to our surprise there was a charge that didn't belong. Like any individual would do I made phone calls I called back down and got no where, no one could tell me where this charge came from or why it was on my account. I spent the whole next morning on the phone with the manager, who couldn't tell me why the charge was even there claiming that it wasn't from the hotel, as I tried to explain to her I was staring at the charge on my computer as we were speaking. She still lied saying she never charged my account for amount that was being disputed. She stayed adamant about the not charging my account for the money even after being explained to many times in many different ways that I was clearly looking at the charge she or her staff charged to my account. She just kept putting off on the travel center that we choose to use. Now 3 days later I am still attempting to clean up the inconvenience this hotel and staff has caused.. It's unfortunate that people who have to travel to unknown places return home feeling like no one is honest or dependable any more.
