Planning to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/11
The entire stay was pleasant for my family. The staff was very helpful in giving directions to sights, greeting guests as you come and go into the lobby. They would say, "enjoy your day (upon leaving the lobby to go out and explore) and "welcome back " (upon your returning to the hotel). The location was excellent and loved the huge window in our room facing the riverfront. My family is already planning a return trip.

Will Return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/14/11
Everyone from the valet parking attendants, front desk, concierge, restaurant staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and from the moment we walked into the room it felt inviting and comfortable. It was very cold when we were there and the close proximity to the Market and trolley services was definitely a bonus.

Bad Stay, Bad Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/10
I thought this trip was going to be a nice trip to Savannah for a friends wedding. Well it started out that my boyfriend not feeling well with a 102 fever but insisted that we go. So when we drive up the Valley Service personal greeted me and informed me that they were the only ones who could park the car and there was a $25.00 fee. I am uneasy letting someone I JUST met drive my car ANYWHERE. So I left my sick boyfriend in the car. I then went in to check in while during the check in process they asked if I was having the Valley Service park my car, I then told them that the guy told me I had no choice, they told me that I had a choice but there were not free parking lots. I had a choice to park my car behind the building for $10.00 a day but it was not insured if something happened to my car VS the hotel parking my car and if anything happened they would be liable for it. So I was aggravated at this point and said just do it. Other than that the check in process was smooth. I proceeded to go to the floor that our room was located on, I knew it was a bad sign when I arrived to the room; started to put the room key and maintenance opened the door and walked out. He said that he was through with the room but housekeeping needed to come wipe down the bathroom. Upon entering the room it was a STRONG smell of cigarette smoke and house keeping came in and strictly wiped down the bathroom. I was extremely aggravated at this point but the wedding was at 5 PM at this point it was 4 PM. I got ready to take a shower, once I took my shoes off the entire floor was sopping wet. It was awful. I had to wear my shoes into the bath and put them on after getting out of the shower. Not the way a room should be and maintenance should have warned me of this and not to monition that front desk should not have put us in the room. So we go to the wedding and come back at 9 PM, room still reeks. At 2 AM my boyfriend is getting worse so I get out of bed to get a phone book to call the hospital. NO PHONE BOOK in the room!! SERIOUSLY? So I get dressed, walk down to the front desk, ask the night clerk of the nearest hospital. “I don’t drive and I don’t know of the hospital” is what he said WOW! While standing next to a guy who is drunk wanting the clerk to call a cab to take him to a bar in South Carolina….. Go to get the car, they can’t find the ticket to find out the lot where the car is parked, come to find out they parked the car in the back parking lot. Remember the “back parking lot” that the front desk clerk told me was $10 public parking and would not be ensured if anything happened. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! And will not recommend anyone to stay there. Sad thing is I work at a hotel, same family hotel.

We will be back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/09
The service was great. The room was very comfortable. The people were very helpful and friendly. They arrange for us to be taken to the Trolley Tour right from our door step. The Savannah Smiles bar near by was great--great piano players--lots of fun!!

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/08
The room was large, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for historic downtown, no need to drive. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The rates are a little high. There were no ghosts. The room service coffee is too costly. Get the free coffee downstairs.

Not so Happy St. Patricks Day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/29/08
I stayed at this hotel during St. Patricks Day weekend. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I will try much harder next year to stay at the Hyatt again. The Front Desk staff was rude and did not care about the fact that we had problems with the plumbing in our room. They also gave us the wrong room to begin with. If you have a problem with this hotel all you need to do is contact Corporate and they will refund you. I would not stay at this hotel when they are busy because they cannot handle the pressure.
