Would Never Recommend
By Justin, 08/31/09
Just got back from a 6-day stay here tagging along with my wife for her conference. I can't imaging wanting to stay in a place like this so removed from anything close by without a car (+ $15/day parking). The restaurant options are so outrageously high ($8 for grits?), we started splitting meals because it cause almost the same to take a towncar to the local pizza shop 3-4 miles away and split a pie for three people. I'm not made of money, but I'm also not afraid to splurge on nice things like vacation. I would never choose to stay at this hotel because it's a conference attendee/tourist trap. LIKES: Pool area. Food quality. Service with a genuine smile. Starbucks. Room cleaning staff was not intrusive or annoyingly repetitive. DISLIKES: Noisy sheets. Too small or way too big pillows. Pool-side bars closed at dusk. Pricey food (but big enough portions). Weak wireless internet coverage (never got my iPod to stick to the signal).

Just back from Orlando
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/09
Just back form a four night stay at the Orlando JW Marriott. I would stay this is a nice higher end resort but not the best. Service is very good but it should be for what you pay. The room I was in was very nice but not the cleanest room I have ever stay in, it was very dusty. There were the nice extras, like chocolates on your pillow at night and nightly towel changes. I was surprised how nosiey the resort was, IE I could hear the people next door. Also there were alot of children here, one night when we went ot use the hot tub we had children jumping in and out of it, n what I would call relaxing. Last stay was at the Hyatt and I would go back there before the JW.

Best Yet!
By JulieM, 07/28/09
This was the most enjoyable vacation we have been on in the states. The attention given to our satisfaction was top shelf. This is the place for a family to just hang out and relax. So much to do for all ages. Park the car and just soak up the sun and fun and great food. We will return as often as possible. Just got home and already booking our next trip. Thank you so much JW staff for making our stay fabulous! Samantha, Christa, Justin, Julian, Emily, and Geoff you all are the best!!!!!!!!! Thanks again the Murrells!

We had a great time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/09
My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We loved the wonderful scenery (hotel, greenery, golf course, and the lovely fountain). The pool was awsome and we loved walking through the lazy river. During our first day there were complimentary wine, cheese and crackers sent to our room. The breakfast buffet at Primos( on site restaurant) was lovely. The hotel is also located near International Drive. Everything you need could be found there. There were nothing that we disliked about the hotel. We hope to return very soon.

Loved It
By amber, 05/15/08
We loved the lazy river and how they refilled your drinks while you are in the pool. This hotel was beautifully decorated. Everything was top notch. We did not care for how you had to pay a rediculous amount for parking and all expenses had to be charged to your room- you couldnt pay upfront in cash. Overall, this is an excellent choice as far as hotels in Orlando. A little pricy but a wonderful stay.

One word: AMAZING
By Lindsey G, 03/22/08
This resort was absolutely fabulous. I came with my husband and my two daughters ages 9 and 16. The JW Marriott is located right next to the Ritz Carlton and we also enjoyed many luxuries of that hotel, such as the spa and the fitness club. The staff is very friendly from the bell men to the waiters to the valet right from the start. When we checked in the staff worked extra hard to find us a room with a poolside view and balcony. While we waited for our room, we went out to the pool. The pool is amazing, there are three large pools connected by a lazy river surrounded by palm trees, there was also a movie showing at the pool and a restaurant, Quench, where there the serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic tropical drinks, smoothies and margaritas.Their food was delicious and the all vegetables in the food are actually grown by the hotel in an organic garden. You can also get your food brought right to your lounge chair. By the pool there was also daily BBQs, a beach volley ball court, playground, baby pool and it is walking distance from the spa. Outside of the pool there is a path along the lake, where one can walk, rent a bicycle "car," lay on the various hammocks and enjoy the beauty of the lake (extremely romantic), which by the way has no bugs to pester or bite you. The landscaping is absolutely gorgeous and everything is perfect. Inside, there is the Citron Grille, which has an amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. Primo, which is slightly more expensive is also delicious. The lounge near the lobby is good for sushi and drinks but it takes longer to get the food on the menu which they have to You never even have to leave the hotel, there are shops ans boutiques for men and women and a convenience store with everything you need. There was even a Starbucks. The room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. There are chocolates under your pillow when you come up to your room. Room service is fast, there were plenty of towels in the room but it was certainly not the main attraction of this hotel. For all you golfers there is a huge, green golf course as well. This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, both my daughters loved it. It may be a bit pricey but it is worth it. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants an unforgettable vacation. Oh and don't forget to try the complimentary, iced tea in the lobby, it is delicious.

Private Paridise for the whole family
By Ryan D, 02/12/08
The hotel has everything you need. Set back in the Grande Lakes Resort, it’s a Great place for families or a company get-away. Pool area is perfect for kids with a lazy river. The king bedroom was very large with a pullout loveseat sofa, and a very generous sized bathroom. You can't beat the view from the 18th floor. Close to Universal and Sea World. All I can say is WOW!

My next vacation will be at a JW
By sp, 01/21/08
The minute our family stepped into the magnificient lobby, I enjoyed every breath of the 'Vermillion Sunset' perfumed air. We got 100% attention and top notch service given the fact that the hotel was practically empty (low season - week before Xmas). The hotel amentities are well maintained and they spoilt our kids...chocolate covered strawberries, fresh choco-chip cookies, drinks etc...I tip very well. They have free-movies for the kids in their conf. rooms every night and lots of activities for adults. Great sushi bar/ contemporary lobby bar. I am eagerly waiting my next vacation, so that I can discover their other properties.
