Hotel Villa Gardenias, Patzcuaro

My family spent three splendid days at the Villa Gardenias and I cannot recommend it more. The hotel is small but perfect for a family requiring pet friendly, safe and clean lodging just a short walk from the historic centro. The rooms flank a beautiful, flower filled plaza complete with parrots and astounding sprays of gardenias. Fresh cut flowers from the hotel's gardens were beautifully displayed in our room upon arrival. The entire complex is paved in traditional Mexican tiles and the staff works very hard to keep the place spotless. We likewise had our very large dog in tow and I was pleased that the staff was not the least bit concerned by it. A private, locked parking area provides grassy expanses for walking your pet. We've recently moved to Patzcuaro and relied upon the Villa Gardenias as a base of operations while we settled into our home. We will highly recommend it to our visitng friends when they visit.
