Really Crude
Our room was in a very old concrete block building with 7 foot ceilings, one small window and vinyl tile floors. Yes, the motel had painted block interior walls, too. Humidity was so high that furnishings were wet. This is a resort town noted for their springs. Room appeared clean but that didn't make it habitable. Bathroom was the worst we have seen. We used the toilet, paid for the room and left. Could not possibly have slept there. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Corydon, which is nearby. We had a nice stay at the Holiday Inn Express and highly recommend it. Of course, there are two lovely hotels in French Lick but they were under construction at the time.
