i will be going back
By aileenj, 01/07/09
GVR was great!... I had an offer and unlike other hotels, was able to get a room w\ out hassle. The hotel was beautiful and extremely clean. The staff from the bellhop to the valet was nice, helpful and friendly. They seemed to love their jobs! Sure it was off of the strip but it didn't matter, there was more than plenty to do. The pancakes at The Pancake House was great. It is definitely worth going again.

A different vegas
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/09
The hotel staff was great, not one problem. The place seemed empty it was so quiet. The food was reasonable and well prepared. It is a little ways away from the strip. No vegas feel at all. It actually feels like Laughlin. Nice place to get away from everything.

Fees and no shuttle to the strip 12/18-12/21/08
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/08
NEW restore fee of $27 per night. No longer have a shuttle to the strip...this left cab rides at $30 each way or their suggestion of taking their free shuttle back to the airport and getting a cab for a cheaper price. Will not be going back.

My favorite Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/08
We got a great rate last year and even though it is off the strip, we loved it. My son did not want to leave. The food court is a little messy but the rooms & hotel are unbelievable. The pool is fantastic and they even had a very low water sand area for little kids where you could actually sit back and relax and not worry about your child drowning. The cabana is top notch. There are restaurants and an upscale shopping outdoor center attached. It is its own little city.

Reservation

I called to get room pricing and size. When I said I wanted to check around I got hung up on. I was not finished talking when I herd a click. I will not be staying here. Try the Mirage.

Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/08
We visited in August of 2007. Our stay could not have been better. Ate at 3 restaurants. All were fantastic. Room was exceptional. Extremely clean. Only drawback was the distance to the strip, but we managed. If you're going for the glitz & glam don't stay here, but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing Vegas vacation, this is your place.

Great place for business or personal use
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/08
A bit of a distance from the strip, but the hotel is very nice, whether for business or personal use. If your intent is to spend time on the strip, don't stay here...although they will shuttle you.

nice resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/07
the resort is located far from the strip. if you want some quiet time this is the place to go. Service was ok not remarkable.room has a mini bar and a fridge. comfortable and clean. charges resort fee of $22/day on top of the room rates which is unecessary and excessive. buffet was so so. price is reasonable.
