Residence Inn by Marriott Springfield, Springfield

The first time we stayed we LOVED it! We even stayed an extra night, but the next time we stayed we took my mother in law, and our fire place wouldn't work, we called the came and fixed it the next time it kicked off same problem over and over. We decided to give it another try for our sons birthday weekend, and this time the toilet was stopped up, there was candy and something gross on the carpet we didnt even call management and delt with it but the kicker was after we left I saw a $100 charge on our card! I got a letter in the mail saying there was something pink on the carpet in the bathroom, we did't even eat there and got charged money because they didn't clean the room from the people before us!!! We'll NEVER stay there again!!!

As a Platinum Marriott member I have come to expect a certain level of quality from the hotels I do business with, and this one always supersedes my expectations. Residence Inns always seem to set the bar on guest service, and this hotel is no exception. I stay at Marriott properties around the country all year and always look forward to my stay here. Our company recently held a conference in one of their banquet rooms and received some of the best service I have had to date. Andrew, the hotel's banquet coordinator was more than helpful and always quick to arrange things to better suit our needs. They fed us an amazing lunch including an apricot glazed pork chop, wild rice, full salad, rolls, and delicious cookies/brownies for dessert. The kitchen staff assisting Andrew was very helpful as well. The front desk staff here is always very welcoming, some of them even acknowledge me by name whenever I come in. They are all an absolute pleasure to deal with, whether it be making last minute reservations or accommodating special requests they never let me down. This is definitely the place to stay in Springfield for business or pleasure!

The staff was so friendly from check-in, to housekeeping, to the buffet breakfast, all the way to check-out. We had a minor issue with our remote and the nicest young man came up promptly at 10 at night and changed the batteries for. He had the biggest smile and was so polite....even at that hour! My husband and I could hardly believe that this place could exist. We will certainly stop in on the second half of our vacation!

The facility is very nice. The rooms are very nice. However, the complete lack of class by the staff and their customer service overshadows every good aspect of this facility. The employees are undertrained and because of this I was put into terrible financial hardship. I was staying over a month for training on a corporate account. I was asked for a card for "incidentals" which is common practice. However, a computer generated hold was put on my account based on my 33 day stay. Why is this bad? Because hundreds of dollars were held out of my account for days. A small sign that is 4 inches wide and 6 inches tall is all that will warn you of this situation, and the employees aren't even savvy enough to point this out or explain the process beforehand. After contacting customer serivce, I had an employee chuckle and tell me it was my fault for not reading the sign. I had no money to use and was in the negative because and no one cared. I talked to the general manager who literally tells me, "Well, since you have the hold on your account anyway just call in room service and charge it to your room." What a joke. Before I realized hundreds of dollars were held out of my account, I bought a $3.50 cup of coffee at work. This caused overdraft fees to be assessed. All I wanted was my money to be reimbursed but this was a foreign concept to management. Customer service = more important than a beautiful facility. Treat your customers right, they will treat you right. This needs to be taught to the general manager.

We had three adults and two children who stayed on our way to Branson. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The hot breakfast was quickly refreshed and staff kept the area clean. Strongly recommend this hotel for future stays.

Great location, right of highway 60 and National avenue. Free hot breakfast, free dinner, great staff....What more can you ask for? Our suite was huge, bigger than my first apartment, it had plenty of room to spread out. Great staff, great product, and FREE HOT BREAKFAST!! The perfect place to stay!
