Nice Motel with one problem.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/06
This is a very nice motel. Staff was great, it was very clean, and the breakfast was pretty good for a motel breakfast. The problem we encountered was the bed. I am not sure if this is part of the "new" Hampton Inn bed that they have been advertising, but the blasted things are too high. It really didn't present a problem to me, but my 80 year old mother who is only 5' 2" and has some mobility problems had to be helped in and out of bed (and believe me she didn't like it at all)! My father who doesn't have the health issues that my mother has and is much taller (but the same age) commented that he would want to put up with that all the time. I have to admit I wouldn't have seen this as a problem if my parents were not with me on this trip. So I would say if you can bounce in and out of bed easliy this is a great place, but if mobility and/or age slow you down or make things more difficult for you then look for another place to stay.
