A perfect place if you've never been to New Orleans

This B&B is in a wonderful old house in the Garden District but, even better, you'll feel like you're visiting in the home of an old friend. Joe and his wife were most welcoming and went out of their way to guide us to the things we wanted to see and do in New Orleans. Joe booked reservations for our meals, including the best known spots as well as some "secret" treasures, all of which were exceptional.
Location is great, within walking distance of some great restaurants and bars, plus Magazine Street, with tons of shopping, is close by.
Our room was spacious and well appointed. We particularly enjoyed the sitting area with sofa so our friends could join us for a nightcap and a "recap" of the day's activities. Another plus from a guy with back problems: our bed had one of the best hotel mattresses I've ever slept on.
From a knowledgeable innkeeper to great rooms, a cozy front porch with rockers and the unique "snack tower" (you'll have to experience it to believe it), this is a great spot for newcomers or experienced New Orleans travellers. We'll definitely be back.
