Candlewood Suites Wheeling, Wheeling

This was the 5th time we stayed at this location, and although we thought things were slipping during stay #4 we decided to give it one more try due to convenience to where we do business and affordable price. Bottom line, this place is turning into a dump, which is too bad since Candlewood Suites are usually always business class, clean, peaceful, and reliable. We come for business twice a year, know our way around town from this location, and like the location which is central to work, restaurants, etc. This time we found broken glass in the cabinets, less than clean kitchen sink and a dish scrubber tangled with hair, a long curly hair in the clean towels (definitely not ours since we don't have long hair), the carafe on the coffee maker was a replacement from a different brand so coffee ran all over the countertop instead of into the carafe, but the best were the loud neighbors who sounded like they were jumping and screaming in the room below us. Around 10pm Saturday night we complained to the front desk who said they would look into it. If, in fact, they did, nothing changed, The uproar continued for about an hour and one more call to the front desk once again did nothing to put this disturbance to an end. Finally we called the front desk a third time and demanded to see a manager face to face in our room so they could hear the noise. We also alerted the front desk that if no one on staff cared to handle the situation, we would take it upon ourselves to call the police to respond to the disturbance if the front desk continued to ignore us and the problem. Pitiful.
