Have reservation in writing bait and switch

We went to check in to a suite we booked six months in advance. Upon check in we were told there were no more suites. We took a two queen room. A fellow swim parent checked in behind us. They also reserved a suite but was told only smoking queens were left. I guess the complained enough and how about this, they found them a suite. The general manager called us and gave us lip service and a free movie. We never took the movie,Wow that really made it better. I am not one who wants something for free. I will pay for good service. I guess I could have demanded my stay for free but that would not have taken away the bad taste in my mouth. They flat out told a story and if that is how you have to make money you will not make mine. I just ask one simple thing of all companies,do what you say you can do. Four of our swim group had there rooms messed up. After his lip service he told me there rooms would only be $79. That was great for them they had SUITES. He helped me none. Where is the service we should get from a hotel. Did not like it
