Will never stay here again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/09
We are SPG members and were told they had club floor privileges when we made our reservation earlier on the same day. When we arrived front desk staff extremely rude!! They have no SPG amenities available now. We ate in the restaurant it was delicious and our waiter was great. The room was below average, the shower was moldy and toilet was a constant problem.

Great Beginning
By DanielO, 06/08/07
The Hotel was excellent. Check in was a breeze even at 11:45 PM at night. The lounge and resturant beautiful. The room was spacious and very accommodating. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Sacramento to include Old Sacramento. The only negative thing was I was charged for their internet access. This was the first two nights of a 7 day trip through northern CA. The rest of the hotels I stayed in i.e. La Quinta, Marriott etc along the way all had free internet.

disappointing once again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/06
This is my second stay within the past month and I have again been disappointed. Both times I had reserved a king bed and both times I received the same room for the handicapped, with two double (or small queen) beds. The television has captions for the hearing impaired, which could not be removed and interfered with viewing. The shower curtain smelled moldy, the shower head did not work properly, the toilet backed up twice which necessitated maintenance service. I called to speak to the manager on my first day here, but never heard back from him/her. He finally left a message on my voicemail on the second day, but I figured that with only one short day left that I did not want to change rooms and go through that inconvenience. If my conference was not being held at this hotel I would have gone to the nearby Hyatt, which my colleague did do...and was pleased with his accommodations.

okay place to crash
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/06
The bed was comfortable. On our way up to our room, we had an elevator conversation with other guests regarding the distinctly unwelcoming demeanor of the front desk staff.

best place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/06
We have stayed at several places, this is by far the nicest, the people are extraordinary, the food great and so much better than Red Lion or the Hilton.

very convenient and comfortable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/13/06
I really liked the hotel and the convenience to the convention center. The valet parking is a little awkward, being right on a busy street, and expensive at $21 a night. The room service was good food and served in a timely manner, but quite expensive (especially the extra charges). The room was great, and the beds very comfortable.

Seem to be bothering staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/21/06
The check in (at 10:45pm) was the best. This was the only time we felt to of had exceptional customer service. Parking was not convienient but we didn't use the car much. Had to request towels more than once, had to call 0 for wake up call service (no one answered the designated number for call setup). Had to correct 1st FOLIO billing (was overcharged). Still trying to correct CC charges (over 100.00 charged, original FOLIO amount not even showing on bank statement). Vending machines and ice not on every floor, had to find map for locations. Had to pay over 15.00 for internet usage. Luggage carts only available with bell hop, with only one bell hop on duty. Customer service lacking when busy. Not all workers fault, they were understaffed. Wish I could be more posititve... sorry.

Grand place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/05
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I spend most of the year traveling and staying in hotels. The Sheraton Grand Hotel was a great experience. Staff is very friendly and the bed was out of this world. Food and service was excellent in both room service and the restaurant. The veal saltimbocca was out of this world. Great wine list. Their lobby bar was a great place to meet people and the live jazz was very soothing.
