Wonderful (but expensive) hotel!
Such a beautiful hotel! The lobby/lounge was so pretty and very relaxing to hang out in.
Our room was on the 21st floor and had an amazing view. The room was nice. Instead of the generic watercolors that most hotel rooms have, the Sheraton Grand had photographs of Sacramento-- a nice touch! The bed was so soft and comfortable.
The hotel staff was very accomdating and pleasent to deal with.
We had an early flight (we arrived 8 hours before check-in) and while our room wasn't available, we were able to check our luggage at the concierge desk. The next day after we had checked out and were waiting for our late flight we did that too.
The hotel's restaurant, Morgan's Central Valley Bistro, is a little on the pricey side, but it has great food. I ordered the Truffle Macaroni and Cheese (although I got it withou the truffles/truffle oil, so it was just basic Mac&Cheese) and it was easily the best I have ever had. The Squash Soup was also good. The waiters were really nice!
The hotel was right across the street from the Convention Center and about two blocks from the Capital. Great location!
The hotel was within walking distance of a lot. Capitol is just around the block, the Westfield Mall is about a 5 minute walk and Old Town Sacramento is about 5 minutes past the mall.
It was expensive, which was understandable because of how nice of a hotel it was and it's location, but they charged for things things like using wifi in your room (although you can use the computers/internet/wifi in the computer lounge on the 2nd floor).
One thing I should note is that there are no reastaurants near the hotel that are open at 8 PM. If you are looking for a late dinner, the only place availible is Morgan's.
Overall, I really enjoyed the Sheraton Grand, and I would definately stay there again/ recommend it to people!
