Great place to stay in Paso Robles

Cheaper than most other hotels that we looked at in the area, very friendly and helpful front desk staff, nice indoor pool and hot tub and decent hot breakfast in the morning. Some people have complained about noise levels but it was not an issue during my stay. In my experience ALL hotels can be noisy at times due to people being loud in halls so if this is a problem for you I suggest using soft foam earplugs. My friend and I were able to walk to the downtown area from the hotel (about a mile) and all of the staff that we dealt with were very pleasant.

Indoor Pool for a Holiday Inn Express

We stay at many Holiday Inn Express's in the world. I've only stayed at a couple that have an indoor pool and this is one of them. Indoor pool, indoor hot tub. Can't go wrong with that! Pool closes at 10:00 pm. The rest is the typical Holiday Inn Express experience -- quick free breakfast buffett. I think this one offers bacon. Lots of local government/military stay here so you know its a deal for the area.

Don't come here. Very LOUD!!!!!

Okay... for the money you get what you pay for; staying here reminds me of college dorm life. Except the occupants are families, couples and kids. At 8:30pm you can hear thunderous footsteps from the floors above and loud thuds from rooms on each side. If it doesn't calm down by 10pm then my stay will definitely stink. The front staff was very nice however but everything is pretty out-dated. I've been to better holiday inns. This one thumbs down.

Great Stay

If you are looking for a great place to stay while in Paso Robles, The Holiday Inn Express is the best. The staff told me the hotel was 5 years old, but it was very hard to believe because the hotels cleanliness and condition were excellent. Also the staff friendliness was outstanding. We really enjoyed are comfortable beds and swimming in their indoor pool. They have the best breakfast in the morning with assorted selections. My husband ate 2 cinnimon rolls and wanted more, but I didn't let him. The cookies in the evening were yummy yummy. I loved the smell of cookies throughout the hotel.

We can't wait to come back!

Visiting from Arizona with a stop over in Paso Robles due to the bad weather/road conditions. We were fortuate to find this hotel. The staff was great! The free breakfast was wonderful with a bright and cheery hostest attending to our every need! It was fun to swim in the indoor pool and my husband even exercised in the in their fitness room! The staff was telling us about the wineries and hot springs -- we can't wait to come back and explore all the fun things this area has to offer! See you next trip!

Expected more from Holiday Inn

This was my first time at Holiday Inn Express in Paso Robles. Frankly, expected higher level of service and accommodations commensurate with the price charged. The room was comfortable and clean, but on par with less expensive chains, like Motel 6. The biggest complaint was the fact that through the two nights' stay, the room was never cleaned. When told of this, the staff was dismissive and unapologetic. A caring staff is essential to superior service. Guess everyone is entitled to have an off day; unfortunately, my impression is based on this one snap shot.

Very nice place to stay

We came up from L.A. for a quick weekend stay on short notice. This place was the only one that had any rooms available that was close enough to the wineries we wanted to go to. The price was a bit more than we normally pay, but we stayed there anyway. Boy, was it worth it! The rooms were nice, the breakfast was free and had lots of choices, and the indoor pool and hot tub were excellent! We didn't know about the indoor pool until we checked in and our room was right next to it. Plus, there's free high-speed access to the Internet, although you have to use the computer in the lobby. And, this hotel is close to the freeway, making travel to and from the wineries, local restaurants, and fun spots easily accessible. Overall, we had a great trip and this hotel was a major reason why!
