Think Motel 6 with upgrades !

Pictures are better than reality for this hotel. The location is very nice ,great beach front location and lots of lush landscape ,mosquitoes at no extra charge! The hotel is mostly block style buildings with lifted rampways to the various blocks of rooms .For the average rooms they are small but adequate .Salvation Army must have donated the bedding because it is low budget .There were numerous problems with our rooms.Lights out ,plumbing problems, cleaner problems, room lock problems, drawers spilling your clothes,1 day lacking hot water. One side of the resort to the south has sewer smell, lots of cart noise early in the morning from the relentless carts going by your rooms. To top it off you are given at start of stay 1 or 2 quart bottles of water ,the clincher :you have to take them to the bar to refill every day or you will not have any water .Mosquito fogging machine goes through on occasion without warning ,kind of nasty as the fog goes everywhere .There is a mosquito concern so bring your spray.Maintainence and management is seriously lacking ,otherwise it could be a clear 3 star resort.Food was good and service in restaurants was friendly and efficient.Only 2 pools so plenty busy and not much room for the amount of guests. Be wary of the lobby sales sharks as these hucksters are pushy and it is a shame the resort allows this to happen to their guests upon arrival!I met many disappointed guests that said they would not return to Wyndham
Resort.Never have I met up with so many problems in a week stay .If all one wants is food ,drink and a bed it may be just what you like ,however folks used to better levels of accommodations and service it may be too much frustration .I used to think the Wyndham chain was upper class but now I have a different opinion .If i were upper corporate management I would be worried and looking for a new manager and maintainance staff .This hotel is a black eye to a hotel chain trying to be better class .
