Holiday Inn Express Suite Conference, Savannah

The stay was great! I liked the jacuzzi tub very much!!! There was nothing in this hotel that we didn't like.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed my visit until last time went my tub wouldn't work (one of the very best reasons for staying here) and the hair dryer wouldn't work either. Since I was checking out that same morning after finding at all this didn't work, I waited to mentioned it to the clerk. She told me she would relay the message to the manager and that the night clerk should have told me the tub didn't work. Funny because she was the same clerk that had checked us in. I have not had any response to this at all.

We got to our hotel about 7pm all excited about the whirlpool tub, and when I walked in the room I was not so excited anymore. Everything in the room looked a bit dated and like it had seen enough use to just all be replaced. There were some weird stains on the carpet, the bathroom door was dirty like with black finger prints, the bathroom floor was NOT cleaned from the the previous people that stayed in there. The tub it's self was missing some fixtures and there looked to be some mold starting around the others. I also saw a hair by the tub handle and that's enough to gross anyone out! haha ;) Then I walked to the bedroom area and the walpaper border was peeling in some places, and over the bed, and from the curtains up to the ceiling were a LARGE amount of dust/spider webs! I couldn't believe it! I knew at that point we couldn't stay in that room. We were still willing to give a diff room a try but they only had one and it had two double beds, and that just wasn't going to cut it for our "romantic getaway". haha So we left and went across the way where Spring Hill by Marriot took wonderful care of us! Clean rooms! :) Although I do have to say that when my husband finally got a hold of the manager for this holida inn, he did appologize and tell us that if we were ever in the area again that he would give us a free room and would personally make sure it was clean. So that was nice. . . . . .

We loved the room, the suite, and the whirpool tub. It was very nice. However, I did think that ... while I wouldn't call it dirty... it was not "CLEAN CLEAN". Just a little extra effort and this would be a top notch facility.

We typically have really good luck with Holiday Inn Express, so on our recent trip to Savannah, GA, it was a given...find the nearest Holiday Inn Express. We are so glad we found this hotel. The room was absolutely worth the money. We loved the fact that it was a 2 room suite so we could unwind in the living area, instead of having to watch TV in bed and the in room jacuzzi...well, who wouldn't like that, especially after a long day of traveling. I would highly recommed this hotel to all my friends and family. The staff was extremely courteous and made us feel right at home. This hotel gets an A+ in my book!!

Hotel has come a long way since our first stay there. Rooms are spacious and clean and we loved the fact that all of the rooms are 2-room suites, meaning they have a living room and sleeping room, as well! Breakfast was fantastic since the new, upgraded Express Start Breakfast! But most of all, the staff was exceptional! Our family will definitely stay again!

The room was not clean upon arrival: dusty, toilet, scraps of paper on the floor. There were only three bath towels in the bathroom of the 2 room suite, which included four people. When a request was made for towels the response was, "We are out, we will need to wash some" There was not a telephone book in the room, nor a pen. When I called the front desk for a local phone number, they clerk stated she would get back with me. She did not. I had to call again for the number and use my lipstick to write it down. We left the room on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. to go out and when we returned at 9:00 p.m., the room had not been cleaned, only 3 new towels had been dropped off. When I called the front the desk to discuss the concern, she stated that I would need to talked with the manager that would be in at 9:00 the following morning. I checked out at 12:00, still no sign of manager. I am at home waiting for her/his call, but if they handle matters in the manner in which I was exposed to during my 2 day stay, I am not expecting a phone call.

My wife and I decided to take a romantic weekend trip to Savannah, GA and I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express because of a previous good experience I had at the Holiday Inn Express Buckhead in Atlanta. The room was set up a little different but it was still a great experience. The next time I come to town it will definately be my hotel of choice.
