Hotel San Luca is a charming hotel set in a 19th century tannery. The ruined building was bought by Paolo Zuccari in 1993, and set about restoring the fine architecture to its former beauty and radically transforming the interior to create an elegant and sophisticated space. One can enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Zuccari family. At the entrance, freshness and brightness surrounds the entrance with natural light filtering through the arcade that opens into the central courtyard and reflect on the pastel colored walls. To maintain the feeling of freshness, the entire hotel is air-conditioned and drapery and carpet-free. The hall is furnished with comfortable peach armchairs arranged around an 18th century fireplace and with antique pieces that add to the warmth and help one feel right at home. Two canaries occupy an antique birdcage, which blends nicely with the background of pastel colors from the striking collection of 19th century tureens on display. This is where guests will find the bar open day and night and a great number of art books, magazines and newspapers to choose from. The restaurant features a Trompe L???oeil, which turns it into a terrace overlooking the Umbrian landscapes and a Richard Ginori coffee set, which was exclusively designed for the hotel. Fresh desserts are prepared and served by the hotel. Guests can enjoy breakfast, coffee or an aperitif in the hotel courtyard amidst the colorful, fragrant flowers like jasmines and geraniums. Bedrooms at the hotel San Luca are spacious, colorful, soundproofed and filled with all the amenities one may require for a comfortable stay. The large bathrooms are finished in Carrara marble, some offering whirlpool bathtubs, including a telephone, heated towel rail and antifogging mirror.
