Response to \"Never Will I Come Back\"
I am unaffiliated with this place and have no interest in it, but I did read your review with some interest. It does sound somewhat far-fetched that they would say you smoked in your room, but I don't doubt for a moment what you have reported.
My only thought is that sometimes smokers don't realize how much they can carry the odor of cigarettes on their bodies, in their hair, and in their clothes. I have often experienced situations where I walk into a room and it reeks of cigarettes, yet no one has smoke IN the room; yet, they have smoked elsewhere and then have come into the room.
I can well imagine that, if you carried the odor of cigarettes into the room, the bed linens would pick that up. The maids may have assumed from that that you had been smoking in bed, which would then trigger the deep cleaning, and the corresponding financial charge.
I'm not saying that it is right or wrong what they did; rather, I am merely offering you another possible explanation of their actions.
