Never Again Holiday Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/08
We stayed in one of the executive suites. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. We needed three beds, and that included the pull-out couch. The hide a bed mattress was broken in the room we stayed on night one, the springs were literally sticking through the mattress. The bathroom was gross (moldy) and the carpet filthy. In the morning we asked for another room. The desk clerk was happy to assist, and mentioned several rooms had been recently updated, but he wasn't sure which ones. We were provided several room keys, and took a tour of the hotel, looking for an updated room. With no luck finding an updated room, we settled on a smaller room that had a hide-a-bed that was old but not broken. In my four day stay, I saved $200 by staying in the Holiday Inn instead of the Hampton Inn. I will not make the mistake of sacrificing comfort for a few dollars in the future. If Holiday Inn wants to be Motel 6 then that's okay, just lower the price. As for me, I won't make the mistake of staying at a Holiday Inn again.

Really great hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/06
The rooms were spacious and clean. They also had many choices for television stations. This is one hotel that I would stay in again.

clean rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/06
We stayed at this hotel while visiting our son who is at summer school at UT. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The towels in the bath were big and thirsty. The showers have that new rain shower head on it. The continental breakfast (rolls, cereal, juice, etc) was available until 10:00 a.m. both on Saturday and Sunday morning. There is a big screen tv in the breakfast area that is great for the kids. They were showing kid friendly movies when we were there. The in room tv selection is great with Nicklodean and Disney channels avaliable. There is a roomy closet and in room safe available. In spite being near I-35, you could barely hear the road noise. Great family hotel for the value. We will choose this hotel again when we go to visit Austin.

Needs a good repair job
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/05
We liked the convenience and decor of this hotel. It was very clean, but in need of some simple repairs. Our first room had a toilet clog up. When I called to the desk they told me I could come down and get a plunger, but they could not send someone to fix it. The plunger did not work, but did manage to get the bathroom completely disgusting. We called back to the desk to ask for assistance. They decided to leave the bathroom as-is and unlocked the adjoining room so that we could use that bathroom for the evening. We were grateful for a clean, functioning bathroom, but when we used the shower we realized that the shower head was broken. We had to hold the shower head with one hand to get the water to flow right. Overall, the experience was frustrating. We did not have a restful night and would not return. It may have been a series of unfortunate events.
