tierd of tourrist
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/26/11
nice hotel great location terrible rude staff when we arrived the to bone heads at the counter just starred at us as if they didn't know where they were . I finally asked the dumb guy how HE was doing and he just replied " good " and continued to look dumbfounded so I was the one who got the ball rolling on . When we brought in the luggage on one of their carts they saw me struggling to manuver it through their narow door ways they just stood and watched . I later helped another man who was having trouble with his luggage . the staff over all seemed tiered of tourists and had a " give us your money and get the hell out " attitude. It was surprising because every one els in Alaska was so nice

not what we hoped for...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/21/08
We have traveled quite a bit ... this is the first review I have written that wasn't positive. For the price I would expect much more. The rooms were small; staff not professional; view and atmosphere were not that great as well. We spent half the money up north in Alaska and we were quite pleased with the various hotels and B &Bs. For the money I think you can do better.

We won't return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/28/07
Small rooms, snooty staff and way overpriced. Basically, this place stinks. Service is the worst I've ever seen. don't pay extra for a balcony, none of them have a very good view and are VERY small.

Just hope there isn't a problem
By Heather, 9/16/06
I hate to give this place a poor review because so much of it is great. The location across from the sea life center is fantastic. The shuttle service and the guys running it were wonderful. The setting on the bay is very scenic. The rooms, if a bit small, were very clean and nice. Unfortunately the good things were marred by terrible service from the front desk staff. There was a mistake with our reservation, which on its own isn't really worth complaining about. Unfortunately the staff was horrible about the whole thing. They were far more concerned about making sure we knew that they personally weren't to blame than actually helping to rectify the problem. We had to fight to get a room that was somewhere close to the quality and view we pre-paid for. If you don't mind a lot of stress if anything goes wrong with the reservation system, give it a go. Otherwise pick the Holiday Inn in town. Just a tip, if you don't have a full bay view room try to get up on the third floor. The partial bay view rooms lower than that are really just looking into the backyards of the houses in front of the hotel.

Remote
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/06
My husband and I booked this hotel on-line with a full-day glacier cruise and sea life center tickets. It was a clean, newer hotel, separated from the main part of Seward - which for us, was a positive thing. Quiet, right on the bay. Breakfast was included, but was very limited in selection. Staff was very helpful. Room quite clean and quiet. Bathroom very small. No countertop in sink area (a little difficult when traveling). We overlooked the main entrance to the hotel on the street, but noise was not an issue.

Great pick
By JenniferM, 9/27/05
Seward is a great Alaskan desination. This hotel is a good pick as well. We had an awesome view over the water and at mountains and price was a good deal. Alaskan Sea Life Center is nearby and there are wildlife and glacier cruises that leave from Seward as well. Quaint little town in the middle of the great outdoors.

Not Bad. Would stay there agin
By Bruter, 6/24/05
Very clean. Had a view room that had a view. No restaurant though. Could use an internet connection. WiFi would be nice for a $200 a night room. Stayed nearby for $100 that had WiFi.
