mixed review
By William, 9/14/11
What I liked: the price, room was spacious, staff was pleasant. What I didn't like: our group had several rooms. My room was "ok" for the price UNTIL the last night, when I saw a cockroach in the bathroom. Couldn't sleep after that; reported it to front desk & he said he would have the room sprayed. Carpet was in poor shape. Breakfast was allright, nothing to write home about however. Other rooms in our group: one single had to be switched 3 times due to smoke smell & the horrible stuff they sprayed to cover the smoke odor. Another room, the key card didn't work; got another, & it didn't either (finally I believe they got one that worked). Lobby had an unpleasant smell (sweet-smelling disinfectant?) & was too warm.

I liked how I was very well taken care of by all parts of the staff...they were great, the rooms are well worth staying in the carpets need to be replaced but the main area is nice for a budget hotel.

Never Again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/11
The carpets are dirty and need shampooed, breakfast is very limited, toliet would not flush correctly (had to go to front desk to get plunger), ice machine on 1st floor only (we were on 3rd), no coffee pot in our room (you get one if you have a kitchenette, but not if you have 2 queens) , toliet paper the cheapest they could find, my daughters room had roaches, another friends room had no screen on window and it smelled dirty. Never would I recommend this hotel!

Watch out for the TV!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/29/10
Be careful not to touch the television when you stay here. They do not warn you that it may fall. That's right! A 27" television is "secured" to the top of a slanted closet by 4 screws and no wall anchor. We made the mistake of plugging in a portable DVD player (which we've done in hotel rooms that we've stayed in the past), and the television fell off the stand and crashed to the floor. luckily nobody was hurt, but the hotel charged me for the TV.

Would stay again.
By Larry, 10/22/09
Cleaning staff does very good job except for carpeting which really needs replacing. Continental breakfast is more like a snack. Price is reasonable.

Nasty place
By Thomas, 6/3/09
The entire place has an odd smell. Generally unclean, especially carpet. Lots of long black hair on the bathroom floor. Holes in sheetrock, window screens torn. Hallways not air conditioned. Many windows in need of repair. Breakfast was a bad joke. I booked it blind (Hotwire) thinking I was getting a hotel equal to Holiday Inn Express. They are not even in the same league. Avoid this establishement unless your only other option is sleeping in your car.

Great hotel for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/08
We were greeted by a friendly and kind clerk, Thelma. The rooms was great, we loved the breakfast and the free computer in office was great. I would highly recommend this hotel for people on a budget - it's clean, friendly and has all the modern amenities. Next time I in Fort Worth I will be staying at the Microtel. Keep up the good work. PS thanks for the welcome gift bag.

disgusting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/21/08
This is what happens when you visit a city for your first time. The picture we saw made us think it was very nice so we booked it online. When we got to the room it was not clean and the blankets had holes in them. The carpet wasn't clean and later that night we discover the bathtub backed up. When our daughter asked for extra towels we were informed the room was properly stocked already and he wanted to know why 4 people were in the room when the computer showed only 2. He was going to charge us an extra 20 dollars but I had a copy of our reservation and it clearly showed 4 people. How's that for people skills. We did our homework while there and will not make the same mistake next visit.

Friendly staff and great hotel
By Dilip, 12/2/06
We checked in late, the desk clerk had our reservation and room ready for us. The hotel has all the ameneties one would need. The rooms were great, my wife enjoyed the pool and fitness center. I had a great sleep and the computer in the lobby was great to check my email. We stayed two days and we realy appreciated the breakfast. Everybody at the hotel made us feel like we are at home. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The hotel is one block off I820, very quite and safe. This hotel gave us a great value.
