Microtel Inn Champaign, Champaign

Bugs in bathroom, broken TV remote, tiny bath towels, to name a few complaints. This seems to be a cheaper chain than motel six, but they gouge U of I parents who have no choice. It was over priced for one night, but I was forced to pay for two nights because it was a busy weekend on campus. (I called from the road the next day to check out because I was sure they'd just re-rent the empty room they were already charging me for.) If the choice is this or nothing, check Rantoul for vacancies.

I was headed to Chicago and this hotel was right off Highway 57-very conveinant just north of 74. Had no problems with staff (night clerks actually very knowledgeful and helpful), room or price. I would consider returning. Even though it was a pet friendly hotel they did tell me they are only allowed in designated areas-which Im allergic to-my room was really clean-I believe them had no problems. Needs improvement-breakfast+breakfast area, more rooms with 2 beds.

This place smelled bad. The staff wasn't very friendly. I hate the location.
